Not spamming...just something I wrote for those guys over there. Some "jokes" in there, but underlying tone is there...
Figured we'd get a nice debate or two going...

WOW...awesome read!!!
I don't disagree with much of it. Your upsets...I want to pick Washington SO bad, but there's no way they can win 3 biggies in a row, right?? I think OSU squeeks it out.
I think Kentucky gives Louisville a scare, but I think the Cards are just too physical!!
Like last year, LSU defenitely has the best talent in the SEC, but they have to prove they can come like that every week before I'm ready to declare them the best!!
Can we please move the TN-FL game to a different date?? Same scenario EVERY frieking year. Vols come in with one loss or at least alot of questions while the Gators are always 2-0 after defeating two garbage teams. Frankly, it's getting old and not helping the rivalry!!

Sometimes it is fun to be trendy (UDUB over tOSU)...but they can win.
Kentucky can score points, and Louisville has shown (thus far) they have absolutely NO defense.

I really liked it. I think Florida is better than you think, but we will see. it will be a good game this weekend.
I agree with most of your points.

I didn't mean to sound down on UF. UT is a better team than they looked against Cal, but not as good as people are wanting to make them out to be. UF has talent, but is learning again.
UF is (IMO) clearly a better team, but I don't think it'll be a big win for them...it'll be close, but they'll pull it out.

The Hogs returned 20 last year from a team that won 5 games, but I knew they'd be much better. Vandy returns 19 starters this year from a team that won four games, yet played some good teams tough (ask UGA & UF & Bama & Arky). Now when Bama beats them, Vandy sux.

Entertaining but what makes you think Alabama is going to beat Arkansas.

bookmark BP's predictions that Ark is not a good team so when ya'll beat them, he can't say that ya'll were great in hindsight

The Ramp...you were right :)
Not that you guys weren't one dimensional last year, but at least then you were catching everyone off guard with mcfadden. Won't happen this year. Sure, putting up 300 yards on the round against Troy isn't bad, but Casey Dick only gaining 108? Face it, if arkansas is forced to pass, they wont win
Obviously Arkansas can win (i mean, if it's a gimme, why bother playing?) but I like Bama and Saban to pull this game off. He preps for games like this, and he's lands better at the coaching end of the game than Houston Nutt is...and not as Dirty either

Beating Vandy isn't a bad win, but it's nothing special. Vandy will probably end up with 4-5 wins this year. Beating Vandy is more impressive than beating a crappy team from a mid-major, but not as impressive as beating a decent team from a mid-major.

Saban lost to Nutt on a 70 yard bomb on the final play of the game in 2002. if we would have won that game, we'd have gone to the SECCG. how does the self-proclaimed greatest defensive back coach in college football lose a game in such faishon (not too mention the Iowa game too in 05)? how does he continually get a pass for these mistakes?

I certainly agree with the UF vs. UT game. He is right on with that.

LOL, so your saying we snuck up on LSU last year with the 384 rushing. They were unaware of DMAC. Thats pretty damn silly if you ask me. We have been hearing that "put 9 in the box " crap for 2 years. Everyone knows whats coming and has for a couple of years. You think Phil Fulmer was unaware of Arkansas running attack last year. UA put up 500 plus yards on Troy, thats more than Florida did. When will some of you people start to beleive. Arkansas will have at least 275 on the ground vs. Alabama. Mark it down.

Knowing about someone's running game and having a few weeks to prepare does not even coming close to knowing about someone's running game and having a season to prepare and cope.
Tennessee's run Defense last year was hardly the top notch D's we'd had in the last 90's early 2000's...so big whup that fulmer saw it coming. When your best D lineman was out for the season, you just can't prepare. Talent still has to be there.
I'm not saying Arkansas doesn't have 275 yards on the ground. They can pound it out all day. That still doesn't guarantee a win. I just think Bama gets the win in this game. That's all.
In comparison to your "snuck up on LSU with 384 yards rushing last year" comment...so LSU knew it was coming..that Guarantee's a stop? Or it doesn't? Look back at 1994, 1996-1997 Neb teams...good teams still couldnt stop them. But with time, it got shut down. They won't stop Ark from rushing...but they'll do enough to win.

Thanks man. I swear one time last year I was watching him, and he started rambling and mentioned cheerios. Maybe I was drunk, but I prefer to think it was him. I use that line whenever I get the chance.
Really entertaining read, and I agree with most of it. I do think Florida's defense will surprise, I think they'll compete with LSU and maybe win. Their defense is young, but I think their main guys can be dangerous.
And yeah barring some big special team or a huge fluke turnover game Bama should beat Arky. Just more balanced.

That's kind of how I feel (about bama). I'm not saying Arkansas is a bad team, or can't win...but I feel where they are now is just a shadow of last season. One of those "they finished strong, so lets rank them" type deals. This weekend Arkansas has a chance to come out and make a statement, as does bama.
