With the offense coming off such a stellar performance I belive they will carry that confidence into Nashville. The defense must step their game up. Hopefully a break from the spread offenses will play more to their strenghs. Not sure if the Vandy QB will be healthy or not. There are alot of positives for Coach O to take from the Mizzou game, but a loss is still a loss. Ole Miss and Vandy are both in must win situations. Expect a dogfight. Rebs win 31-21

preseason i had vandy but nickson is hurt and he's pretty much their whole offense. bennett can't score if they can't get him the ball.

i pick Rebs 30-14

Lets see um.. Vandy has alot of injuries to contend with this week after getting beat up by Bammer. I'd say Ole Miss by 11 pred:Ole Miss 21 Vandy 10 If Vandy recovers key players, could be a tossup

If Nickson is okay to play, and Upson (punter) is over his nerves or whatever was wrong with him, and we don't make stupid mistakes that get us penalties, then I predict a Commodore victory.

Actually I predict a Vandy win no matter what, but it's fun to pretend I'm looking at this objectively.

no way Rebels put up more points than Bama did...

Vandy takes it 27 - 13

I have the same problem with the Rebs. You have to peel back layer upon layer upon layer of blind optimism before you could find any hint of reality.

How is Vandys rush d?

Can I expect another 200-yard game from Ellis? Maybe a few TDs?

Should be a good, hard-fought, even game.
I pick the Rebs to win it.

They allowed Terry Grant 173 yards and 2 TD'S on 24 attemps.

I think BJEG will be an even better runner against the Dores.

The Vandy/Ole Miss game is always a tough game. Lots of injuries in the past. It's been called the Black and Blue Bowl for years, even before Mullins got hurt. Since it's in Nashville, I predict Vandy to win.

This is a tough one, especially if Nickson is still hurt. I'm leaning toward Vandy.

Or maybe it's just 50/50 and my own bias is making me say Vandy...

Big difference between a prediction and a hope. In Rebel land a prediction is simply hope disguised as a prediction

Reality...who needs it anyway? That's what the five minutes after the 4th quarter ends are for. Then after those five minutes are up, it's time for the blind optimism to start all over again.

I think Vandy takes this one. Adams and Green-Ellis were both impressive against Mizzou, but I think the combination of Bennett and Nickson take the cake.

I love Ole Miss almost to a fault. An honest question was asked and an honest answer was given.

If we were playing in Oxford, I'd give the nod to us but since it's a road game, I'm going with Vandy plain and simple. Would you rather me lie about it Chuck? Not my style my friend.

Historically, Vandy plays two teams very tough and that's Bama and Ole Miss. Don't know why but they do.

I was at the Vandy game last year, and though they put up a good fight, it didn't make too much of a difference. I think even without a home field backing them the Rebs will still be able to put points on the board, and I think the defense is going to be pounded in the face for the Mizzou game so they should be back on track by the time they head up to Nashville.

Ole Miss 24 Vandy 10

I didn't have any problems. I had a long talk with these cops about the new rules. They just said "don't let us see you pour it and keep it in a cup" That's the same rule they have always had. I didn't see it being any different this weekend.

i read it from your own Daily Mississipian that the cops were going around and opening any unsecure/unguarded ice chest. i've never heard of that nonsense before. u can drink it, but only out of a cup. come on man...think about how silly that is. time for ole miss to join the rest of the nation.

It may have happened, but I personally invited several cops to partake in our spread of delicious food and none messed with our coolers

because you were there. if for some reason i had to leave my ice chest, a cop would dump the beer out. it's like being in HS again. i'm telling you the Grove is a great place to have fun (a little over-rated but a great time nevertheless) but the cops are outta control there. did you read the Daily Mississipian today?

Well there always seems to be three sides to every story. One person's story, the second person's story and what really happened. If they threw him out cause he was black they are being stupid and childish. If he started a problem then he is being stupid and childish. Yet with that house's history, they could have been drunk and thrown the wrong person out. I wasn't there to say.

Off the top of my head, the only injuries of note we have are McCluster and Cornell. Neither should see the field this week.

We have to win this game. Our next 2 games are Florida and @ UGA; we can't afford to lose games we should win. I'm guilty of it too, but I think we have all hyped Vandy a little too much this year. That being said, they could very well beat us because it's always a competitive game. I don't think Alabama is any better than Missouri, so based on our losses we look pretty even. BJGE is a much better back than Terry Grant, so I think we win. If Grant had 175 yards, BJGE should have over 200 for the second consecutive week. I don't know if Seth Adams will throw for over 300 yards again, but if he can hit the 200 mark I think we win 23-13

Sorry Vandy fans but I'm starting to think blowout. The Ole Miss offense has another 500+ yards game and the D stiffens up after getting blasted by Coach O all week. 42-14 Rebs
