I'm kind of surprised to see Washington garnering as few votes as it did. They're only getting five points from OSU. I'm not sold on tOSU's offense yet but the defene looks as good s usual...and can Jake Locker and co play up t BCS standards ('Cuse is awful and BSU has never been known for their defense)

Anybody like OU's chances to leapfrog?

Keep in mind that the AP poll matters for nothing. And in order for OU to leapfrog in any relavent poll they have to jump the Gators, WVU, AND LSU. If Florida beats UT they pretty much lock up the number 3 spot...if USC loses this week to Nebraska once could make a strong case for an 1. LSU 2. UF poll. After all if USC loses to the Huskers than LSU and UF would possess the season's two biggest wins (shy of app state) to date.

I amazes me that Texas A & M and Hawaii are still in the top 25. Both barely won and had a ton of points scored on them. I think Alabama and Kentucky should come before them.

1. LSU 2. Florida would be great, but personally, I want USC to win out. There's nothing I would love to see more than the SEC (LSU preferably) spanking their Trojan a**es in new orleans.

I think LSU has a legitimate shot of making a NC title run, but if we can't win out, then by God, I hope Florida does.

I think last year really earned the SEC some respect, the "almost" wrong team in Michigan playing for the NC

Thanks, same to you Tigers. I really think you have got us this year, but I won't give up that easily on my team.

I would prefer USC to lose half their games in the regular season than to go undefeated. I really dont want them playing for another national championship (although LSU/Florida killing them would leave a very sweet taste in the mouth.)

Optimally I would have LSU/Florida in the National Championship game, but that won't happen unless a playoff/plus one game is added. If Florida and LSU were both in the position to play in the national championship that would mean that they likely split the series between the regular season game and the SEC Champioship game. I doubt much of the media would want to see us play a third time. This would be the only scenario I would see that being possible.

That being said I would prefer to see OU play than USC. I am happy as long as it isn't USC(or any other Pac-10 team) or a Big East team playing in the Championship game.

Even though it's way to early to be talking about the NC game, because a lot can happen between now and then, I certainly understand why you don't want to see USC in another title game, but I despise them so damn much, with the high probability of either LSU or Florida meeting them in New Orleans, I really want them to make it. I want the SEC to be the reason they lose, and lose big - so the media will shut the hell up. But what I'd REALLY like to see is LSU mopping the floor with them. We sort of have a personal vendetta with them from '03. So in my opinion, if we don't have the opportunity to nail their coffin shut, then Florida is the next best thing.

LSU/Florida would be a great title game, and it' give the SEC incredible bragging rights regardless of who won; but there's no way in hell the media would allow that. Even if it was a clear cut, no questions about it, #1 v. #2 LSU/Florida matchup, one of us wouldn't get in. The bassards.

The main reason I wouldn't want OU to make it is they're a little bland (IMO), they're not a bunch of cocky a-holes like USC, and we already beat them for the title once.

To say I'm a USC hater is putting it extremely lightly, the sons a b**ches

I hate them as well. They are cocky. It would just suck though if somehow they did win.

Even if they lost I am sure they would make some sort of excuse or complain about it.

Roscoe

I honestly don't think they would win, or even stand a chance. Especially if they play LSU. Not because LSU is so much better than Florida, but from the mere fact that we've been waiting to step on the field with those pricks for the past 4 years.

I'm sure they would have an excuse. But it'll make them look like even bigger peckerheads than they do now.

I just don't want USC in the title picture... I like Carroll, but I don't like them.

But I don't want to even chance them going up against LSU or FLA in fear of them winning. I mean there's no denying that Carroll's an amazing coach, and they have amazing talent. And quite frankly, I don't trust LSU to beat them, and it would just make the nation so happy to see them beat the SEC.

imo Oklahoma & LSU have the best chance of winning out. lots of football yet to be played though.

That's pretty good TD. I'm posting a pretty long new thread in TrashTalk that answers this fictional question from, appropriately enough, a documented liar.
