Wow, UF got 7 coach's 1st place votes. I didn't think UGA would fall that far, either. AU dropped out, but I expected that, and are right next to USF. Pretty sound rankings, but VT is still ranked way too high. I guess coaches are apprehensive about hurting their feelings so soon after their tragedy. Also, 6-10 are too high, and shouldn't be above Penn State. UW almost lost to a creampuff, for crying out loud. I never even realized UNLV had a FOOTBALL team. I knew they used to be a basketball powerhouse when "the shark" was good at cheating, but haven't ever heard a word about football; and they only lost by a TD to the supposed #7 team in the nation?

Same deal... 6-10 have no place ahead of PSU. And, AU really fell far in this poll... well behind even USF. Wow.

Carolina is 23rd in one poll and 17th in the other.

The Coaches Poll has us ranked too high. I have faith in my team, but I've seen enough over the past couple weeks to realize, our team is very young and will more than likely make enough mistakes for us to lose a couple of games...#5...in the AP is about right.

USC should in no way possibly be ranked higher than LSU. LSU has beaten the piss out of an SEC school...and a ranked opponent. USC beat Idaho. GMAFB!! The bias towards USC is sickening...last night, Corso said LSU should be ranked above USC because LSU has beaten MSU and VTech, USC has beaten Idaho.....Kirk nearly fainted...and began his "USC is the Best" propaganda. The top 3 should be: LSU, OU, USC...IMO.

Lol. I 100% agree. UGA should still be in the top 20. When its all said and done, Carolina will finish as a top 20 team. So a 4 point loss to them does not look as bad.
I also agree with you assessment of Mike Bobo in one of your posts last night. Stafford would complete a couple of 15+ yard completions then UGA runs the ball right up the middle a couple of times for little gains. I think if Bobo had a better feel for his team and what they can do then his play calling schemes would have been different.
UGA likes to run the ball...what else can I say? They have had good RB's ever since Richt took over. Should have let Stafford throw the ball about 4 or 5 more times.

Wow, I like the voter's confidence in us, but I still believe #17 is a bit too high....at least for now. Maybe by the end of the season, we'll back that up.

As for LSU fans, I wouldn't worry. Let them keep you at #2. It'll just make it that much sweeter if you take USCw behind the woodshed in the big game. If OU jumped you, then start worrying a little. I don't see them losing, unless Texas can do it. Of course, every year, people talk about how 5 or 6 teams could go undefeated, yet there's only been one year where more than 2 made it. That's probably why SEC fans are gun shy about the whole situation, but it'll probably all work out like it normally does. It's only the 2nd week of the season. Time is on LSU's side.
