Louisville beat Middle Tennessee State 58 - 42 tonight. The Cardinals may have an impressive offense, but they're going to be in serious trouble when they play another major team... especially with a defense porous enough to allow MTS to score 42. Looks like somebody else will be dropping out of the Top 10... no way Louisville is the #8 team in the nation with that D.

I am really liking how this week is going to turn out. Look at this.
1. Virginia Tech loses to LSU drops them down in the ranking.
2. Louisville drops in the rankings due to there poor performance just like Texas.
3. There are two possible upsets this week that have a really god chance of happening: TCU vs Texas & Miami vs Oklahoma.
If Georgia beats South Carolina we could move as far up to #7 more likly it will be 8 or 9.
But we will definatly be ranked above louisville and the losser of the LSU vs Virgina Tech game.

Plus we would move up based on how we played South Carolina and then add up all the other games as bonus's.
I say Kentucky gets to 50 against them, and wins.
Maybe not, but that score alone will move them out of the top 10. That's awful

There was an article in SI about parity in college football these days. Either it's true, and that is in fact the case, that teams are not nearly as far apart as they used to be; or, the preseason pundits really dropped the ball (pun intended) in over-rating some of the teams in the Top 10. Louisville may have still won, but giving up 42 to MTS is almost worse than losing to App. State. At least AS won the mini-NC the last 2 years.
