Got there at 1100am. Had some great BBQ at Little Dooey's. Picked up some beer and hit campus at noon. Showed my buddy around before it started raining for a couple of hours. LSU had a good showing for a Thursday game. Starkville is one of the most under-rated campuses in the South. Not the pound of makeup and $200 dresses primadonnas as Ole Miss; but t-shirt, shorts and flip flop honeys walking around campus. I saw prolly 3 ugly girls all day. I was impressed with the Junction (much improved from last year). I only met one obnoxious fan who waved his cowbell in my face repeatedly. Other than that, the fans were very accomadating and friendly.

I thought State's defense was stout but our defense we just too much for them. State benefitted from 7 offensive line penalties which I kinda expected with Carnell Stewart's first start vs. All-SEC Titus Brown (a frigging beast).

We hit the Cotton District and hung out mostly in Rock Bottom that night. I met an obnoxious Ole Miss fan there but the State fans quickly silenced him. Good times...I'll be pulling for you guys for the rest of the season. Good Luck!!!

Great travellog, Ramp. I felt like I had been there. Sure sounded like fun. And, from the Mississippi State fans I have met, you're right on target. Very nice, congenial folks.

Nope she actually slipped through the cracks. She was a little crazy which may of had something to do with it. It wasn't b/c of morals though since she had no problem throwing the short ball every which way. I returned the ball for about 99 yrds every down but I always got pushed out of bounds at the 1 yrd line. Don't think I didn't dive for the pylon though. Anyone seen the mods?

Yeah, but there was so much competition within my group of friends. You didn't want to be kicking field goals while your buddies puttin' up 6!

Damn , I left this thread and didn't check back until now and it turned into this???

I guess I should be offended by Rebel Chuck's line about taking off your shirt and shoe but I just can't be because it was just damn funny.

Good sense of humor. We've all got rednecks; Ole Miss has just become very clever in hiding them

I think i know who Rebel Chuck is talking about. Yup, she was a foreign exchange student, i think she said she was from Baton Rouge, couldnt understand a dang word she said and kinda smelled like crawfish.
