Question about LSU

One thing I've never heard explained is why they typically wear the white uniforms at home and on the road.

When I saw them wearing the purple ones at Miss State, I just wondered why they dont wear those as their home uniform or is there tradition or something for them to wear the white ones?

We love the white jerseys. We wear them whenever we can. Some even feel there is a jinx with the purple jerseys (you know, Louisiana superstitions and all). However, from my point of view, I like them just because I think they look better. When I think of LSU football, I picture players in white jerseys.
