Duce Staley to join USC radio team
The Duce is back. Former USC star running back Duce Staley joins the Gamecocks Radio Network as sideline reporter for 2007 after a 10-year pro career.
Staley, who played his high school football at Airport, spent seven years with the Philadelphia Eagles (1997-2003) and three season with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2004-06).
Staley replaces Rob DeBoer, who agreed to step aside while embroiled in a federal lawsuit regarding his involvement with an online music retailer. Returning to the broadcast booth are Todd Ellis doing play-by-play and Tommy Suggs as analyst. Both were record-breaking quarterbacks during their playing days at South Carolina. Brent Johnson will be the pre- and post-game host.
The games will be heard in Columbia on WYCB-Fm 106.7 and WISW-AM 1320.
