So its still the off-season for another month or so, and I'm still bored. So time for a new thread.

Out of CMR's six squads at Georgia so far, which has been the best.

2001: 8-4 (5-3): Noteable wins, @ Tenn, GT
2002: 13-1 (7-1): Damn Gators. Beat Arkansas in the SECCG, Fla St in the Sugar Bowl.
2003: 11-3 (6-2): Beat Tenn @ Tenn 41-14 (thats for you Neylands Ghost). Lost to Florida and LSU x2.
2004: 10-2 (6-2): Woo a Florida victory.
2005: 10-3 (6-2): Win at Tenn again (Heh, Neyland)
2006: 9-4 (4-4): Rebuilding year, and still reel off 9 victories. Ain't to shabby.

And just for fun, a bonus question. Do you think the '08 squad has the potential to be the best yet?

Auburn game was in Athens in 05. And DJ didn't play against so Florida, so 4 aint terrible. And WVU almost choked that game away.

Good choice, can't really fault it.

I voted 2002. But what ever the year was that Thurman & Pollack were just beasts on D gets my vote for best Defense ever. Was it 2002? They would have been very young then so maybe I'm thinking of 03 or 04

I personally thought '04 was the better of all the teams in terms of talent!! They got a little cocky after the dominating win over LSU and simply took the Vols too lightly!! Talk about shoulda coulda woulda in terms of that season!!

If I knew what year Pollack and Thurman were on top I'd vote for that year. Being a Bengals backer and all.

In 2002, we announced to the SEC, "We're back"!!!! IF we could've beat those dang Gators, we had a chance to make it to the big game.

2001 was the best, no question......

2002 our record was the best...obviously...but i think our "best team" was in 2004. We got cocky against UT...but regardless everyone else was second best in the conference that year due to Auburns nasty running back corps and their stingy D.

2002...we were the best team in the country and I really think we could have given either Miami or Ohio State more than they could handle...

*anxiously awaits KillerNut's reply...

2002, no doubt.

People are saying 2004 but we are gauging all aspects of a team and that includes winning mentality. 2002 wanted to win and did (with one exception). but the 2004 squad took some things for granted and it showed in the loss column. so 2002 takes the cake, by their average of all aspects of the game.

My Gator friends call me crazy, but I would have "given up" our win in 2002 for the Dogs to have a chance to beat OSU/Miami in the NC Game. The Gators "bubble screened" UGA to death that day...kinda a "cheap" way to win...but I guess a win is a win....but, think about it...the Dogs win it in '02, LSU in '03...Auburn woulda likely gotten a chance to play USC...coulda been another for the SEC in '04...then the Gators in '06. Nobody would be questioning the SEC's dominance. Not that many do...;)

How about I just make him "diappear"...;)

I know...a win over UGA is a great thing...but I would love to see 4 different SEC teams win National Championships over a 5 year period...

Me, either. After all we've suffered, I wouldn't give 'em a single one back. GH, you have a brain fart, or something?
