I've said it before. ESPN LOVES US!
Honestly, for me, I love us playing on Thurs. night because I live so far away and going to the games is near an impossibility. But since I get to watch them on tv, our Thurs. night games won't conflict with any other games I may wanna watch on Sat.
Plus it's nice to see our team play first during the week. It gives me a chance to compare what we did with how others are playing with a fresher perspective.

I dont mind the Thursday games, esp when Louisville, and WVU get into it, but I hate for my team to play on thursday, cuz when saturday comes around it kinda loses it luster! Past couple years we had LSU at home, and Auburn last year at home, i guess its ok to have one every now and then, but not all the time like NC state gets, (they had like 3 last year, and 2 of them were back to back)

You mean you aren't still ecstatic after our Gamecocks pull off a big win only two days prior? I love being able to watch other teams play knowing our team has already won.

it's also a mixed feeling for me as well, as said above when Saturday comes I feel like something is missing. I just try to pretend that it's an off week, and it does free up time for doing things on the weekend, rather than sitting in front of the TV watching the game.
A good thing about Thursday games on ESPN is what Spurrier has mentioned often: it's a chance to play football in front of the entire nation, as opposed to just regional audiences, and if we win a great game, it's chips in the pot for future big-name recruits in other states, who otherwise don't get a chance to see us play that often. Finally, if it's done right, and is against what should be a weaker opponent, and is the week before a tougher, crucial opponent, then the lesser time to prepare that week won't hurt us, and the extra time for the next week will help us!

I just see no negatives in being on national television; it helps recruiting, it helps with exposure, it helps poor fans like myself who live 900 miles away & can't go to many games get to see their team that much more often. And any great plays you make while on ESPN, you know they're going to add to their season highlight reel as intros to other games which is always cool.
It only sucks when you lose but that can happen on any given Saturday, too.
