josh riddell? robert elliot? co-eric riley?

im interested in seeing what type of iimpact you think these player will have this season if any......first off, YouTube - Josh Riddell (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvfl8NkuVHc), i wasnt high at all on riddell after the maroon and white game but this video makes it look like he can put the ball wherever he wants, if henig goes down, riddell possibly a future story on espn or just another bust? i have no doubt elliot will get some touches but will he be as productive as everybody is talking about? and this riley kid intrigues me, from some videos i found it looks like he can catch anything and he is very physical.... what do ya'll think?

Don,t know the level of comp. out in Cali but the kid put up some good numbers for just two years of ju-co , I personly think state is loaded with potential backs already , but to have the depth isnt bad either I think riley is good but I'm hearing alot of good news about Tight end Butler. Supposed to be expected to finish pretty high this year, expext Hening to go to him alot.

butler isnt a new target...he has always been one of our best players but for some odd reason we have a hard time getting the ball to him often....but i agree with the whole back situation...if henig and croom con come up with something we have to players to have a very good offense...but my only thought about riddell is that he looks accurate.....the competition isnt going to be as good but it still takes a lot to put the ball on the money as many times as he did in that video...

Butler will get more touches this year simply because we have a veteran O-Line which is supposed, and I did say supposed, to be pretty good. This will allow our tightend to run more routs and simply not just be in the game as a blocker. By the third game I predict Elliot will be sharing the ball with Dixon, maybe a 70/30 split on carries with Dixon getting the most. I also think Ridell will get his chance in the LSU game to show what he can do. Blowout or Close game I think he'll get at least a couple of series in that one.

i'd be interested in seeing if henig struggles against lsu, if croom would be that quick to put in riddell....but no thoughts on this riley kid? croom did mention him the other day on sports night.....my only point of the thread was to see what people thought about backups and potential play makers, i would hope that butler would be more involved, he is one of the more talented players on our team....

I dont expect to see Josh first confrence game , I would'nt be suprised to see him finish second have of Tulane game,

he might come in if its a blowout but with the stuff ive read i just dont see riddell pushing henig for the spot anytime soon....unless henig goes down or just completely blows up but i dont think that is going to happen....

I've been saying Riddell is who you guys need to turn too...Henig won't get the job done. He stunk last year, and this year looks to be no different.

no the kid's name if Co-eric, but i'm not sure if croom is going to pull a rex grossman thing with henig but riddell should play if henig does not score on one of the two first drives againt tulane...
