Boyd and Davis complement each other very well. They combined for nearly 1,800 yards from scrimmage last year.

I didn't realize they averaged that many yards.

The article is correct. I checked the individual stats:

Boyd: 823 net rushing yards, 406 receiving yards
Davis: 474 net rushing yards, 97 receiving yards

TOTAL: 1797 yards

Boyd is a heck of a RB. He average those 1200-odd yards last season while injured, not at 100%. I would LOVE to see him at 100% this season. I bet he could given Mr. McFadden a run for his money. (Yeah, I know that sounds crazy, but I have a lot of faith in these Gamecocks)
