TUSCALOOSA | University of Alabama football players Brandon Deadrick, 19, and Roy Upchurch, 22, were arrested early Saturday morning on misdemeanor charges following an altercation in front of The Legacy, a bar along the UA strip, at 1215 University Blvd.
A sophomore, Deadrick, is a 6-foot-4-inch, 271-pound defensive lineman from Elizabethtown, Ky. Upchurch is a 6-foot, 191-pound sophomore running back from Tallahassee, Fla.
Both were released on bail hours after being transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail. According to jail records, Upchurch was released on a $300 bond. Deadrick was released on a $1500 bond.
Deborah Lane, University of Alabama executive director of public relations, said that the two UA athletes are enrolled in summer school and confirmed that both were arrested.
UA Athletic Department spokesman Doug Walker said that UA Head Coach Nick Saban was out of town when he was informed of the arrests and declined to comment.

Obviously, this was set up by the NCAA and the SEC. Rumors say Phil Fulmer made the 911 call to police.
Another conspiracy against Bama involving the NCAA, SEC, FBI, DEA, BATF, TBI, GBI, Texas Rangers, Canadian Mounties, Interpol, and Mayberry Sheriff's Dept.

Supposedly the two players arrested were with 3 other players.. they were trying to get underage girls into a bar called "The Legacy", They got in an argument and subsequent fight with the bouncers over it and UAPD and TPD responded. A big fight with the 5 players and the police went down. Upchurch and Deaderick got taken in by TPD and the other three were hauled in by UAPD. Deaderick head-butted the back window out of the patrol car and had to be maced by the cops to get him under control.

Why do you keep doing this to yourself Blake? Do a little research, hell, read the article even, and you might quit making yourself look like such a dumbaaaaaaaaaaaaass.

Officers said that Upchurch was arrested by UA police officers, who were on the scene with Tuscaloosa police.
Kosloff said that no fights or injuries were reported in the incident.

Fulmer Cup-- unattainable by anyone else, Fulmer has this stat etched in steel
The two Bama players should be suspended for at least 3 games, and their worth to the team needs to be evaluated.
Misinformation-- see AU Blaaaaaaaaake. The thing about rumors is that true information gets lost in the flames.

So 3 players messed up. Two of them being DL's which is the important part. I wouldn't doubt this being adressed in practice and mild suspensions. We all know Coach Saban will have to make a example out of them, but how far will he go with the punishments?

Actually from Bama fans at the scene, 5 players were involved.
Now my question to Bama fans is.. Are these kids just "boys being boys" and "college kids at the wrong place wrong time" ....orrrrr are they "notorious criminals never to see the field again" like several of you labeled Tray Blackmon (who was gone this summer for poor classwork, not criminal problems)??????

I think that it really doesn't matter. If any fan from any team takes delight with situations like Tray Blackmon, these 3 guys being arrested, or anything else, then IMO its being carried too far. Its just plain stupid that Bama and Auburn are #1 and #2 in somebody's cheating poll. Ever wondered why? Because the fans and boosters of these two programs take delight in the others misfortunes. We rat each other out or set each other up. Gene Jelks, Operation Pole Dancer and Eric Ramsey. Some claim that this is part of the rivalry and this is why the rivalry is so great but IMO its no longer a rivalry when it gets to this point.

Let's not compare Tray Blackmon to these guys. It would seem the only guy out of line was Deadrick. Besides that, we all know Tray Blackmon has been in trouble multiple times now.
