Well, I get home from working out and get a call at around 3 pm yesterday. It was my grandmother, calling me and letting me know my grandfather had just died. I broke down and cried like a little baby. I didn't know what else to do and it is weird not having him here to call me fat or ask me when I was going to get that piece of shat out of his garage. I won't be online much, I just can't sleep right now and am staying the nigh at my grandfather's house with the rest of my family. If you would keep me and my family in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and God Bless

-Cory-

PS: I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, but my grandfather was a true Vanderbilt fan and got me started in Vanderbilt athletics. He told me to never compromise an education to play a game. His favorite sport was football and every Vanderbilt game I watch this season will not be the same because he won't be there with me. So mods, feel free to move if deemed necessary.

vf84, you have my sincere condolences. Your grandfather has left in the physical sense, but he is not dead.

"For as long as they speak your name, you shall never die." (old Native American saying)

I just lost my grandmother about a month ago, so I kinda know how you feel. Hang in there and just try to think of all the good memories of what you two shared.

Prayers offered up here....I envy the relationship you had with your grandfather (and any others that had the priveledge). Both my grandfathers were dead before I knew them (one before I was born, the other before I was 3). To have had a wonderful role model like you did is a blessing indeed. Peace to you and yours, my friend. God Bless.
