I guess Quintin didn't learn from his stabbing incident. He was arrested tonight for marijuana possession and happened to be at the same place he was stabbed. Cops came there because of gunshots being fired.

He has gone from a martyr (who was innocently stabbed, according to authorities) to possessing pot (caught redhanded).

Why, QR? Why?? You showed so much promise.
:brick:

I know...innocent until proven guilty. But it seems that not only our players, but players across the country are putting themselves in these predicaments every day.

I don't care so much that he had pot on him, but I can't figure out how he could be such a dope as to hang around after shots have been fired while carrying weed. Isn't it pretty much a guarantee the cops are going to show up??

Let the farks and jokes begin Q-Rich! You've just stigmatized yourself for the forseeable future buh-day!

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. Why does everyone think that it is OK to do any kind of drug? Why go back to the same apartment complex where you got stabbed a month earlier? What is with this "living on the edge" mentality? Life is tough enough.

I've had lots of contact with this kid. Our department works the football games as security. He is a nice kid, but he has some terrible friends. Most have been kicked out of school due to gang affiliation and fights. He has been told numerous times to keep away from them, but for some reason doesn't see the problem. Maybe this will be his wakeup. He's gonna get another chance from USC.

Some don't know it, but this is one of the reasons Gary Gray left Columbia. His mother really wanted him to get away from some of his friends and experience life outside Cola.

Don't kick Quintin too hard, but he does need a foot in his @$$.

If getting stabbed didn't wake him up, I doubt getting arrested will.

WTF is wrong with Columbia? I lived in Columbia from 2001-2002 and crime wasn't at a psychotic level like it is now (or gang activity). I come back in 2004 and the place has been ape sh*t. WTF gives? Are we living in the equvialent of 1980's NYC...?

Do you have any idea where this particular apartment complex is? I live in Columbia, too, and I've noticed that areas like Greystone Boulevard, Broad River Road, etc. have gotten worse recently, and I know there are some apartment complexes in that area of town. Downtown appears to have progressed, while peripheral areas of the city appear to have regressed.

I know that you are trying to be cute, but for some reason, it bothers me. I guess making light of what has become a very serious social problem in all of our communities is almost as disturbing to me as the social problems themselves. Drugs, disrespect for law and order, promiscuousness, lack of responsibility, and the like are breaking us. And, we don't seem to care until it affects us adversely. We have a cancer growing within us.
