View Full Version : I just heard Noel Devine got into WVU!!!!!

I'm still looking for verification, but it sounds like Noel Devine will be playing for the Mountaineers this season. If this is true, then West Virginia suddenly has the sickest, most dynamic offensive backfield in college football, which they may have had already.

Noel Devine is indeed enrolled at WV.....how in the heck he qualified is beyond me...he made a freakin' 12 on the ACT....12! I heard he couldn't even graduate HS until he took some Summer courses...yet, here he is a college student...that's freakin' crazy. I'm interested to learn the academic requirements for admission to WV.....I guess all you have to have is an ID.

If WVU were in the SEC, you know they'd be on the next flight to that school to go over every piece of paperwork with a magnifying glass. Where there's smoke, there's fire and there was so much smoke surrounding Devine's academic eligibility chances as there is around Ricky Williams most times.

I mean seriously, the dood scores a 12 on his ACT & gets in? Don't you get 10 points just for spelling your name correctly?

Any team with a talented defense could shut down WVU by putting 7 or 8 guys in the box. They cannot pass.

There's no doubt you've got to question WVU's standards, but how did he get through the Clearinghouse?

I think you guys are selling West Virginia a little short. The SEC certainly hasn't had much luck against them recently. Their defense isn't great, but it's definitely been enough for them to win alot of games.

Yeah, and if they're able to admit these kind of 'questionable' scholars, it won't take long to build what they need.
