CONEY ISLAND, N.Y

The annual 4th of July 'Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest' championship returned to the United States in 2007 -- after almost a decade of being won by a foreign professional eater.

Joey Chestnut, 23, bested perennial winner Takeru Kobayashi, 29, on Wednesday by chomping a new worlds record 66 hot dogs during the contest. Kobayashi managed 63.

Amazingly, both marks eclipsed the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Championship record set last year of 53 1/2 hot dogs consumed by Kobayashi.

Earlier this week, there was some question as to whether the Japanese champion would even compete because of a sore chewing muscle. Tuesday, Kobayashi still had trouble opening his mouth wide enough for a routine teeth cleaning session -- leading many to speculate about his ability to participate in the championship contest.

I noticed she holds the records for Vienna sausages, meatballs, and oysters. I wonder if that's a case of practice makes perfect; and if people realize the Vienna sausages turn into Polish sausages after she gets them in her mouth, making her feat even more extraordinary.http://www.mazdas247.com:8080/smilies/bj.gif http://www.mazdas247.com:8080/smilies/blowjob.gif

I thought, surely, there'd be a few who could appreciate some sophomoric humor. You must be a freshman.

My freshman days have long since vanished. I'm too old to hide my contempt for idiotic behavior, and an eating contest ranks right up there with wasteful and disgusting idiocy.
