FWIW: These protestors put up the Mexican flag over the American flag flying upside down at Montebello High School in California:

They know where the door is if they have a problem with Ole Glory. Amazing the lack of gratitude.

Send their asses back to Mexico,
Agreed. If they don't respect where they are, or like the way things are done, they can certainly return to their roots.

If you think they should leave so should every neck with a rebel flag (Maybe send them to Canada). Why would we as Americans want a defeated enemy who tried to destroy this great country to be allowed to fly their flag....
My real thoughts.... I prefer that form of protest (Rebel, burning and Mexican flags) than the jihaddist, white pride blow up a building kind.

You not only appear to be a racist, but you're also dumber than a rock.

I am the racist? How's that? Becuase I think using flags is a proper form of protest protected by our government? Or the fact I am embarressed to be a white southerner everytime I see someone with a rebel flag. I also have panamanians, mexicans and puerto ricans in my family so I am a bit more sympathetic to the plight of hispanics.
The fact I want to take my adoptive nephew to an Alabama game..... and I don't want to let the poor kid know that that flag was about a group of people who wanted states right to choose if he (As a black kid) could have freedom or to be bought and sold on an open and free market.
So yes.... I don't like many things... but I don't call anyone ignorant for a protesting view.
P.S. Your the guy who thought I was trailer trash yesterday because I lived in Kentucky.... So your regionalist as well.

You need to get your facts straight before you start going off. The flag my great-great grandfather fought under was all about states rights. Letting the states run themselves. If you look up the stats ( apparently you didn't ) you would have seen that there were more slaves north of the mason-dixon line than in the south. Your telling someone to quit assuming by calling you trailer trash because of where you live? You need to do the same because some are proud of their heritage and the confederate flag doesn't mean BAD WHITE MAN AND RACIST. And before you go off saying I believe in slavery, don't go there because I believe it was wrong and no man should have ever been treated that way.

Uhhh.... I mentioned that the States rights. But part of that States Rights was to allow slavery. The civil war speeds up slavery ending. I believe it would of ended without a shot. Truth is Slavery was supported under the U.S. Flag... so both are flags of Slavery acceptance.
NOW, what that flag stands for now (Public Perception) is not Heritage and Pride. It stands for Racism. When the Klan uses it today to march it kills the meaning of the flag. Just as when they use the cross (Thank God we don't light our crosses on fire in religious meetings or we would be looked on as Klan sympathizers) It's not what you want the flag to be about. It's public perception... I understand some have pride in being southern. Heck the true meaning of the flag is a symbol of our independence and personal freedom. Like the cross used on the flag at St. Andrews..... But, most see it as Racism. A tool of signifying racists.
Case and point.... Most don't watch soccer here..... In the 2006 World Cup Spainish fans would wave the Rebel flag when they scored. These fans were the White Supremist fans. Why? They see it as a flag of White Power. It was a big story last year but, not reported on the U.S. news. Truth is a majority of backwoods Klan members now reside in the North... Thus why more confederate flags are sold North of the Mason Dixon line than South. Drive in Indiana and Southern Ohio and you will be shocked.
So my attack is not on the Confederate flag wavers. Mine are on the people who want to restrict signs of protest like these Mexican kids. You have the right to wave the old confederate flag (Which I do not like) as they have a right to hang or burn the U.S.

I don't put the Confederate flag above Old Glory. Thats where its wrong.
Also, who is " public perception " ? Who made the rules? I don't care if I do run around waving the Confederate flag outta pride, I'm still going to be looked at as racist. There again the " assuming " issue comes into play.
And UHHH, states rights were to help states be self-sufficient, impose their own taxation, to run their own government and not be taxed to death by the federal government. You can twist it anyway you want to make your point.

Hey.... I am a Libertarian.... You know my views are all about States Rights. I would vote Ron Paul right now for his views on that. Just don't paint me as a racist or ignorant.
Public Perception is what most think. Most in the country and world see it as racist.

I have no problem displaying the Rebel flag as I have no white-guilt. I don't run about spouting racial hate speech. The rebel flag means southern pride in a form etiquette and living. I could get into a lot of symbolism from other racial cultures that interpret as bad things to those outside.
Heck, I don't have a problem of naturalized American citizens having bumper stickers and celebrating dates of their heritage. Just do melting pot thing (give a little culture and respect some of ours) and respect Ole' Glory.
Heck, it goes hand in hand with the whole citizenship thing. If you are naturalized or attempting to be, why disrespect something you seem to want bad enough to go through the whole lengthy process?
Protesting is one thing, being disrespectful is another.

But that doesn't mean they're right. Why should we be persecuted for honoring a flag that other people wrongfully view as something that it's not?
