with the asterisks meaning.........?

it looks good. Where would you place Maddox and Baker on the RB DC? I think on of them will be redshirted, perhaps Baker.

IMO, Larry Freeman should be on the WR DC: as a JUCO transfer, he has experience and maturity. He performed solidly during early spring practice, and fell of towards the end. I think he will be a contributor. Hills should be in Culliver's spot: his freakish athleticism will trump Culliver's inexperience as a WR.

Where does Wesley Saunders fit in the TE DC? At 6-7 270, he will be a monster for LB's to face.

 I was starting out putting them next to guys I think will be impact players who are currently flying under the radar but then stopped...I was starting to think I was putting asterisks next to every other player! Guess I had on me garnet colored glasses and thought better of it.

I think Maddox and Baker will both sit this year as long as who we have stay healthy. I think they're our future for when we have to say good bye to our current RBs.

I thought about him and you're right, he'll be in there somewhere but I think once Culliver, Hills, Jason Barnes, Lecorn and whoever else I'm forgetting get on campus and show what they can do that his spot on the DC will keep going down. I hope I'm wrong cuz I'm with you about liking his size, experience and maturity. I put Culliver up there cuz I think Spurrier is tickled by his gamebreaking play potential and will try to invent ways to get the ball in his hands in space.

Where does Wesley Saunders fit in the TE DC? At 6-7 270, he will be a monster for LB's to face.
If (Once?) Andy Boyd gets hurt, I think Saunders will take his redshirt off and jump up to #2. IMO, Prochak will be almost exclusively a pass catching TE and Pavlovic will be as exclusive on the blocking end of the TE spectrum for us. Again though, I think Spurrier will try to make do w/o him if he can, get him a year to get more familiar with the offense w/o using up a year of eligibility and use him as a Chris Smelley/Stephen Garcia safety valve for next year and beyond. But like I said, I'm up in Michigan looking at this from afar so I may be wayzoff.

If the source (not mine) who's said that Mark Barnes will be a WR wasn't so accurate on just about everything else, I would rather see him at Safety for us. A guy who can play the way he can...seems like he'd be a Ko Simpson clone & I see having him on the field for a handful of plays would be kind of a waste when he could shore up a position we're pretty thin at.

Looks good Wayz. Except I think Beecher will be #2 on the depth chart. Smelley will probably get equal playing time but I think Beecher will be the No. 2 man. Next year will be the year of the Qb brawl.

Wayz. These would be my only changes at this point. They are at WR. Jason Barnes I would put at number 4, Moe Brown at 3, Culliver at 5 (Will probably be used more like a Reggie Bush this season), and Joseph Hills it sounds like a likely RS for him and Garcia. I personally agree with Smelley certainly at number 2, and Beecher at 3.

I will tell you looking at this list one thing I'm really excited about is the number of under classman. 2008 and 2009 should be one heck of a ride.
