I think that USM has the best shot this year. They have a great schedule to make a run and at least host the championship game. UTEP or TULSA could have a shot also.

UTEP or UCF. This is the year of Mike Price or George O'Leary(and in the process show the coaching world that C-USA is the conference where good coaches go for redemption and manage to succeed).

BTW, Mike Price plays at Bryant-Denny Stadium come October 2008. Maybe he'll manage to open a can of whoop ass on Saban by then and begin to have fans scratching their heads wondering if their school would've been better off sticking it out with Mike Price after all. Imagine, if Price somehow got a $4 Million salary how much he could "make it rain" at any strip club he went to. Pacman Jones wouldn't have a damn thing on ole Mikey.

I think it's Houston. Despite the potential for overhauls on both sides of the ball, there's still a glow surrounding the Houston program that comes with winning a title. And while the expectations are dramatically lower than a year ago, who's to say Houston can't contend for another Western Division crown if the young replacements adapt on the fly? Tulsa has a new head coach, UTEP faces a similar rebuilding and Rice, SMU and Tulane are still a rung beneath the Cougs. In other words, the program will be shooting for a second straight title even without its star. (reference: FoxSports.com, Rich Cirminiello)

I'm gonna say what every one else is thinking: Who cares!? It's conference USA. Louisville fought tooth and claw to get out of that god-awful conference.

Houston or Tulsa, but I'd rather talk about a BCS conference.

I also think Southern Miss. BTW, welcome to the site, Gator! We can use a little more objectivity around here.

Ok. So it is CUSA, however this is the CUSA page so.... The conference is terrible but I live in a CUSA town and just wanted to see some other opinions.

I still say USM, but UCF was the only team to impress me yesterday.

I say ULaLa, they sure as heck can run the ball. They were one of the few teams to beat conference champion Houston in 2006 and they return a lot of that team.

UCF and East Carolina look strong. Looking forward to those games against Southern Miss.

USM is the favorite, but their schedule is tough and the conference has more parity than in years prior.

I'd like to see MTSU continue to do as well as they did last year and possibly get a C-USA invite.

But who would you kick out of C-USA for MTSU to take the place of(and don't say Rice, that's the easy answer).
