Expected in North America in 2008. Rain and cold aren't a problem, and you can even strap in a car seat if you have a little one. These five videos have sold me.

That thing's pretty cool, but I couldn't have one here in Atlanta. My Turbo Beetle and I were just totaled two weeks ago when an illegal who didn't know the difference between a green light and a green turn arrow decided to try and turn in front of me while I was crossing through an intersection at 50 mph.
Two airbags and a seatbelt saved my life, but not the car. If I'd been in that thing, they'd have taken me to the morgue in a ziplock baggie. I noticed it had a seatbelt, but I'm not really sure why; because if anything bigger than a skateboarder hits you broadside, you're toast. Maybe it's to keep your dead body in the vehicle, and make for a less messy cleanup on the street. And yes, before anyone mentions it, there are still a few dain-bramaged short-bus alumni who choose to ride their motorcycles in the city.:brick: I'd love to have one of those out in the country, though. Or the mountains. Twisty roads look like they'd be a blast in that thing.

I think the Carver would have about the same safety level as a motorcycle, maybe a little more. I would still drive it.
