Billy Knight is the man! The hawks have passed on the best PG in the draft the last three years. Yes, we had the shot at the best one every year and passed every year.
What is the Hawks' biggest need? Oh, point guard? No way!
Last 5 first round picks:
Childress- Forward
Smith- Forward
M. Williams- Forward
S. Williams- Forward
Horford- Forward
^What the hell is that???

Passed on Paul, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo and now Conley. Hopefully Law is still available at 11. Even though he is a small consolation prize.

Sounds like you've got yourselves a John Brady-type.

So let me guess. No gator even deserves to be a first rounder huh?
*edit* BTW I was just kidding in my earlier comment. I would hope you know that.

On a different note, Greg Oden will be HUGE in the NBA. Any team would be foolish not to take him first over all. I hope he and Connley have outstanding careers.

I've put all my Gator hate away for this. The evidence is a few posts up in 24's post. We don't need another 3 or 4 player. I'm sorry if it upsets you since he is a Gator.

You know, it might have something to do with team needs.

The Hawks aren't going to do Sh*t next season, I don't care if we drafted Oden. I'll support the home town as much as anyone but the last thing Atlanta is is a basketball town. I'd say were baseball first then football(NFL & college) hockey, arena football, then basketball.
Don't fall for the Hawks guys, they'll break your heart. Trust me

It's called being a fan. Through thick and thin I'll always support my Hawks. I don't care if they do break my heart every time. But the gap between how good Conley can be and Lue is much greater than the gap between how good Horford can be and any of our front court players.

Yeah, Chris would've been a starter for almost any other college team while he was at UF. Three members of the Florida Gators, the two-time national champion, went in the top 10, starting with forward Al Horford going to Atlanta at No. 3, forward Corey Brewer going to Minnesota at No. 7 and 6-11 forward/center Joakim Noah going to Chicago with the ninth pick.
How did derrick byars (sec player of the year) go undrafted in the 1st round? And get drafted after mcroberts? Hes gonna be makin teams feel sorry they didnt pick him 1st round.

Oden will be good...his size alone will assure that!! BUT, every Sonic fan will be sending "Thank You" cards to the Trailblazers for decades. Durrant is by far the best player to ever come into the NBA. I can't for the life of me understand why there isn't more hype around this kid. I guess that's a REALLY good thing, but when you think back a few years ago to the ton of press that LeBron got, it really amazes me. Durrant has accomplished more and at a higher level, and is SO much more a complete player than LeBron is! We always here about how good LeBron could be if he had a supporting cast...well, Durrant's a better player and will have more talent around him than does LeBron, so what will that translate to?? The ONLY downside for Durrant is that he'll actually be playing against NBA caliber talent night in and out versus that abomination called the Eastern conference.
