Not that I have a big deal with it, I mean I use it in common speech a decent amount. Just that I don't like having that as the heading of my window when my brothers or sisters or parents walk in the room.

Oh, I thought History Boys was a Great Film. But it was slightly pedophilic for my tastes. To the point it made NAMbLA look like a legitimate organization. The last line in the film says it all... "I've never touched the boys, but it is always a temptation I must deal with."
I had forgotten about Crying Game... good catch.

There are worse films (see Battlefield earth) but it is about a 9 on the Jacked up meter....

Big Entourage Fan? I don't get HBO, but I've got all the seasons they've come out with on DVD. Great Show.
I've never heard of El Topo, I'll check it out.

F-ed up. Things that you watch and think just aren't quite right.... Like the Glorification of pedophilia (The History Boys), or Masochism to the extreme (Crash), maybe you just die a little inside at the thought of Apes ruling the planet someday (Planet of the Apes).... it isn't really the explanation that throws you - that was pretty easy, F-ed up is nearly self explanatory - what threw you were the choices. Not all of these films are good and not all are bad, but they are all, in one way or another disturbing, gruesome, or intellectually frustrating.
Make sense yet, children?

If we're talking about effed up movies Requiem for a Dream needs to be on there. That movie was seriously disturbing.

"Spanking the Monkey" - Artsey Indy film from the mid-90's. Chick I was seeing rented it. I was sitting there watching it with her and it was pretty boring until the main actor and his mom....... :eww: The image is seared into my mind.

Old Boy - Anyone who has not seen it should do so immediately. Its hard to follow for awhile, but it all comes together at the end and it is F'in nuts.
Cannibal Holocaust - just plain shocking
Trainspotting - don't do heroin, kids.
Kids - man, I'm glad my childhood wasn't like this. talk about loss of innocence...
Me and You and Everyone we Know - I really enjoyed this, but its pretty messed up and awkward at times. It helps if you are already familiar with the artist involved I suppose.
The Cell - I dont like serial killers to begin with, so going inside the mind of one really freaks me out.
I could go on for awhile. I have a friend who loves nothing more than to show me messed up films...

I haven't seen most of those, the cell was o.k. yes, very disturbing being inside the mind of a killer, but also a little over the top.

This unflinching examination of "poor white trash" has garnered both glowing reviews and thunderous condemnations for its disturbing content and strange style, which is simultaneously hyperrealistic and surrealistic. In addition to drug abuse, the film profiles a broad range of issues including suicide, grief, homophobia, prostitution, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, euthanasia and racism - all in a day in the life of small town USA.
