Also...I wonder how the WWE feels now. They just faked the death of Vince Mcmhaon not too long ago. It showed him getting into a limo and then it exploded(I dont watch wrestling but this was all over the internet)
Anyways the explosion couldn't have been more fake. No way was Mcmhaon in the car, it wasnt even on any of the news websites. The WWE did this to boost ratings and nothing more. Now someone really dies and their website gives Benoit just a big of a tribute as they did when Mcmhaon supposedly died. How are kids supposed to know whats real and whats not.
I mean we all know wrestling is fake and barely qualifies as a sport but come on... Vince Mcmhaon is somewhere on vacation watching this on the news.

They say it's being investigated as a possible murder/suicide.

Yep apparently he killed his family over the weekend and then off'ed himself today.

WWE was damned if they did and damned if they don't when showing that tribute tonight. Cause now everyone is all over them for having a tribute to a double murderer.

And they REALLY would have faced serious heat if they kept up the "Vince is Dead" storyline.

See Vince, this is what happens when you try to use death in a storyline. We've already seen the loss of 2 great ppl since this all started. I'm glad you ended the whole thing Vince, storyline be damned.

And I'm gonna end my post on this note:

Yeah I was going to watch it tonight, but my g/f came over and we went out. I was gonna be super pissed if Vince didn't end that whole charade. Glad he did.

And yeah that Wrestle Mania 20 moment is a great one with two guys who left us way too early.

Do you honestly believe though that had Vince not "risen from the dead" tonight, he would have committed irreparable damage to the WWE from a fan standpoint?

Definitely. I knew many people from other forums who said if Vince didn't end this whole hoax they would not watch wrestling again. He had to or they would have lost a good amount of fans out of the few they already have.

He should've ended it with Sherri's passing. I know she wasn't working with WWE when she died but still, have some decency.

I know WWE is better then "Vince is Dead" and when you have these deaths for real happening, it just smacks of even more reason why Vince was wrong from the get-go.

Man this is crazy, it's really tragic how many wrestlers have died, especially recently. I remember Benoit was one of the guys who inducted the late Eddie Guerrero into the hall of fame in 2006. Benoit really was an exciting wrestler to watch and alot of the other guys in the business really respected him. I'm still in shock over all of this.

Those were probably the same ones who said they'd never watch again after Owen Hart was killed doing the stunt.......oh wait, they were never going to watch again......my bad.

As for wrestling not having but a few fans, I think you're crazy on that one. It was only a couple of years ago that they had a PPV maybe every month and a half. Now they're popping them off every 3 weeks. I really doubt they'd be doing that unless they were making @$$loads of money.

As for the car-bombing story-line, it's funny when something similar happens in any other action prime-time show, it's cool......but when it's WWE, it's dispicable.

I honestly can't remember any time during any show where I've actually "laughed" when something blows up.

Even if it isn't real.. why is that funny.. its not like jokes or anything of that sorts that make you laugh.

I didn't mean the event itself is funny, I was referring to the fact that it seems odd that wrestling seems to be singled out.

From TMZ.com

464. My second cousin is an officer with GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigations) and what he's heard in his circle is that Chirs Benoit's wife killed their son Daniel, called Chris and told him to rush home because of an emergency which is why he missed last Sunday's Vengeance PPV. Upon arriving home Benoit killed his wife in a rage for the death of his son and then killed himself Monday morning. His wife's body was found in the master bedroom, strangled with the cord from an alarm clock. The son's body was found in his room appearantly suffocated with a garbage bag. Chris then wrote a suicide note explaining what had happened, apologized to his family, his other children (from a seperate relationship), and his fans. He the fasioned a slip-knot noose from from rope taken from the garage and hung himself from the ballaster in the foyer of his suburban Atlanta home.

That would definitely be "bizzare", which is what the DA is quoted as saying in the AJC about the details when they come out.

WTF is all this worry over Vince McMahon, and a pro "rasslin" storyline?

Jesus H. Christ! I can walk past a TV with "rasslin" on, and feel my IQ drop. WWE is absolutely so ridiculous, that I can't believe people watch that hokey crap.

I agree that the WWE is fake and its crap. I can identify with this situation b/c I used to watch wrestling (and Benoit) as a kid. Let me elaborate. I watched wrestling between the ages of 7 & 12...maybe 13. It didnt take too long to realize it was for nerds.
Whats sad is seeing the few grown as* men who actually pay money to attend a WWE event.
But Benoit committing the murder/suicide is very real and very tragic. It deserves discussing.

UPDATE: looks like the Vince is Dead angle is still alive.

Look what I found on the Smackdown site: WWE: TV Shows > SmackDown > McMahon Remembered Videos (http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/mcmahonrememberedsdvideos/)

As well, you'll notice that last night on Raw, it was "Vince McMahon" that was shown, not "Mr. McMahon" as he's normally referred to.

Investigators found prescription steroids in the house and want to know if so-called "roid rage" may have had something to do with the killings.

Benoit was in the 4 Horsemen, Seppeh. Flair, Arn, Ole, and Tully were the original 4-Horsemen members. I liked the grouping when Benoit was in there minus McMichael.

Such tragic news. I haven't watched wresting in a long time but I did enjoy Benoit in the WCW. Didn't get a chance to watch the whole memorial show last night, but did anyone see Flair on there?

Nascar isn't 150% staged. Synchronized swimming is for wimps. If you want to watch terrible actors beating the snot out of each other...watch days of our lives.
