Looks to me like he was about to fall down. I hope Beecher, Smelley, and Garcia are ready. It's routine to drink in college, but it seems this kid has no clue. Maybe he just knows he'll never make it to the next level even with Spurrier and could care less about winning. I hope Smelley can get with the program and fast. You just don't see many SECC teams with drunks or heavy drinkers at QB.

See, I don't understand the big deal. The guy does have a life other than just football. It's the off-season, a family member or close friend obviously got married and he's at the reception throwing a few back....big friggin' deal. If this were taken between the La.-Lafayette and UGA games, then I'd have an issue with it but seriously, how many wedding receptions have y'all been to where you had a few too many? Let the dood have his fun now so hopefully he won't be as inclined to when fall practices start up.

Now...that all being said, everyone knows Mitchell's inclination to drink way too much when he does drink so he's gonna have a real short leash on that tendency when school's back in. Rest assured, Spurrier's seen these pics and will address them with Blake in no uncertain terms & I think we will see Smelley at some point this season whether it's due to Mitchell sweating profusely at a frat party, injury or otherwise. Given Garcia's immaturity both in terms of experience and behavior thus far, I really hope we can sit him for the year and lean on Mitchell, Smelley and MAYBE Beecher for 2007.

I hope 2008 to be the real QB battle between Smelley & Garcia.

This was a wedding reception held at The Zone in the stadium, believe it or not. It was a wedding for former gamecock Fran Person. Several other players there, but it was a typical wedding reception, and everyone drinking there was 21. Seriously, nothing to see here.
