All this debate about the last second foul against LeBron James in Game 3 of the finals last night is ridiculous. ESPN.com - NBA - Blown opportunity for Cavs (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dailydime-070613) First of all, it was clear the foul happened well before the shot attempt, and would have only resulted in 2 shots from the foul line; with Cleveland down by 3 and no time left. I can't believe so many are up in arms. Second, Cleveland really has no right to complain, anyway, as they blew countless opportunities to break the game open in what was one of the ugliest professional games in history. That said, I absolutely love it that a class act like Duncan is about to claim another title. I'm so sick of spoiled, whiny gangsters complaining about their money and teams, I don't even watch the NFA (National Felon Association) anymore. They play a game for a living. If they make more than rent and food, they should be grateful, and thank God every day.

Lebron was fouled plain and simple. This is how the game operates: a foul is committed, a whistle is blown and the fouled player goes to the line in this particular situation.

This isn't a matter of opinion, of felons, or of whiny gangsters. It's quite obvious Bowen fouled him, and he should've shot FT's. End of story.

Who gives a sh*t if he was fouled. My point was that he was fouled before the shot, and would it have resulted in only 2 foul shots. Being down by 3 with 2 foul shots and no time left would have made no difference in the outcome of the game. For someone who claims to know so much about basketball, I'd have thought you saw my point. Even if he'd gotten the call and made both foul shots, Cleveland would still have lost by 1. That's the real end of the story.

You've never heard of throwing it off the backboard?

Yep. Never heard of it in the NBA Finals. It also has to touch the rim. It can't appear intentional.

If he threw it off the backboard, that would have been almost awesome as Chris Webber calling a timeout with none to spare.

I know your point. I don't care. Rules are rules. He was fouled and should get his shots. Pretty cut and dry. Not even sure how you can argue the point. If there is a foul, you shoot.

If they had called the foul on the floor like they should have it would have been three shots. Kind of crazy how one of the biggest superstars in the league right now can't get a call on his home court in the NBA Finals. It doesn't matter anyways, the Cavs wasted too many other opportunities. And besides, LeBron complained about it to the ref immediately(what everyone does in basketball, no matter the level) and then downplayed the incident afterwards.

And as for everybody in the league being thugs, I think you're going a little overboard. If you want to see thuggery, watch Bruce Bowen stick his foot under somebody attempting a jumpshot. Your post was good until the last 2 lines, when it just turned into a nasty rant.

And I don't think Florida fans have much room to talk when it concerns petulant, whiny, overly-emotional players.

If you're fouled behind the 3-point arc before your shot, and it isn't a continuation (and the foul in this case wasn't), you only shoot 2. I do believe he got fouled; and, I do believe he should have gotten his 2 shots. If he made them both, they still lose by 1. My question was: why was everyone in such an uproar; since even if the foul was called and James made his 2 foul shots, Cleveland would still have lost the game. Lose by 1, or lose by 3... what's the difference? :brick:

EDIT: And I have no clue how to respond to the comment about Florida fans and a picture of Noah. He's an emotional college player who gets pumped up about winning. The pro athletes I'm talking about only get pumped up while whining. And, it's usually about money or their teammates... or both.

LeBron had picked up the ball when he was being fouled by Bowen, indicating that he was beginning his shooting motion. IMO it should have been called, but it's questionable that LeBron would have made 3 free throws. Regardless, the Cavs couldn't take advantage of anything. They didn't score off of the Spurs offensive miscues and couldn't come up with anyone to hit a clutch shot. That was probably the best chance they had to win a game in the series and they blew it. Manu Ginobili was completely ineffective and the Cavs still couldn't capitalize. They even slowed down Parker enough to be able to win the game and just couldn't get it up on the offensive end of the floor.
