Has anyone heard about this? Looks like they are going to have several teams in the SEC area. From what I can gather they will have the teams based on college teams. Like the Alabama team will play @ Legion field in Birmingham and have players from Auburn & Alabama. Wonder if this one will last more than a couple seasons...

I think that's the one Mark Cuban (NBA Dallas Mavericks owner) has played a big part in getting going. I just can't imagine any other league competing with the NFL. The only thing I can think of is a minor-league type setup but I think that's what NFL Europe is for...?

I'm all for it. It would give us football in the spring and summer if its like the USFL was. The USFL was a great football league until the NFL used their power with politics to disband it.

Is that the same league that sued the NFL, and got like the $3 check?

Yeah, they got screwed big time. It was as big as the NFL as far as popularity, they didn't have the political backing like the NFL. It wasn't scrubs playing in it either.
