This is a great place to test out new ideas. In fact, I could get some real nuggets here that I'm going to use right away! This thread in great. Could anyone tell me whether there are any other Forums on this topic?
A step-by-step instructions on this could be very well appreciated.
This certainly makes a good point. I'd like to see the response of others on this topic. Makes interesting reading.

I think a CD is worthless for an addicted person. That person should seek real help, and talk to other addicts who can answer specific questions, and get get actual solutions, i.e., at NA, AA, SA, or CA. A CD is only good for people whose loved one may be an addict; and they'd like to better understand what they're going through. In the end, though, it's impossible for an addict to accurately explain to a non-addict what he/she feels, why they do what they do, and why will power alone doesn't provide relief from any addiction. Only another addict will relate. Conversely, it's impossible for a person who isn't an addict to empathize with one. They can sympathize, but only another addict truly understands what it is to walk in those shoes. A CD or Alanon can only help explain what the addict is experiencing, not actually make a person experience it. And with addiction, that difference can be likened to listening to a song about getting shot, and getting shot.
EDIT: I think this belongs in the Water Fountain.
