I tend to agree with the writer here. Not sure what the Big 12 feels a 5th year of eligibility would accomplish. I'm pretty sure the NCAA shoots this idea down.

there not going to do that cause college lasts 4 years that's why thed rules in place.

Most players are already on the 5 year plan, even though they only have 4 years of eligibility. Ever hear of the redshirt?

Mark Richt says that if he could change one thing in college football, then he would give everyone 5 years of eligibility without a redshirt.
