The ones that say they'll root for Louisville when they aren't playing Kentucky because they're from the Bluegrass state. Does Alabama pull for Auburn when they're not playing? Does South Carolina pull for Clemson when they're not playing? I mean seriously, wtf....our colors are blue and white, not blue, red and white (not to be confused w/the red, white, and blue :D )

No. LSU issued an ultimatum to all the curb stores that were selling them that they wouldn't allow any authentic merchandise to be sold there if they kept selling the flags.

i guess it would be hard to enforce a ban of confederate flags on gameday

Ah...this explains Geaux's constant rants against the Bluegrass State. No, I'm sorry....we don't have a problem w/folks still trying to wave the confederate flag at games. That's reserved for license plates and window stickers 'round here.

Hey Dickle, next time you're at at LSU game, why don't you go up to those "morons" and tell them that you don't like their purple and gold Rebel flags. Betcha never done that, huh? Personally, I like the P and G Rebel flags. (And I'm NOT a redneck) Don't really see that many of them. BTW, those flags started showing up at LSU-Ole Miss games in Tiger Stadium in the early 70's as a response to the thousands of Rebel flags that Ole Miss fans used to bring into the game.............

The D-bags of UGA's fanbase are the backwoods boys who cheer for UGA just to have someone to harass on saturday. They didn't attend the school, their parents didn't attend the school, they just bought the hat at the gas station and bark out their windows at opposing fans. They don't care about the game, much less sportsmanship. They're just in it for the drinking and trash talking.

Don't get me started on the douche's of Arkansas' fanbase.

First there's the d-bags that are calling for Nutt's head because we lost Mitch "Intersection-every-other-pass" Mustain, so that we can start the merry-go-round of new coaches every other year just to "have a new direction!"

Then there are the whiners in Little Rock who think NWA is hogging the hogs (pun intended) for themselves (despite the fact that the campus is in NWA). "Waaaa, but UA represents all of the state, boo-hoo!!! Though I don't give two shits for ASU which is supposed to represent the whole state too, nor UCA which supposed to represent my particular part of the state."
Nevermind the fact that most other teams' fans get 6-7 local home games, Razorback fans have to give up 2 games to the ancient War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock that's so small, only people who have had LR passes since 1982 can go. Unless you're connected.

Now I'm sure we'll get to hear the other side school me on how Nutt's done more than just loose Mustain and how the games in LR are sooooo much more fun.

Blue Note sponsored a jazz tent called Somethin' Else featuring Scott Amendola Band featuring Nels Cline, Don Byron Plays Junior Walker featuring Chris Thomas King, Ravi Coltrane Quartet, Lou Donaldson & Dr. Lonnie Smith Quartet, Robert Glasper Trio, Stefon Harris & Blackout, Lionel Loueke, Mago featuring Billy Martin & John Medeski, Stanton Moore Trio, David Murray Black Saint Quartet, The Philadelphia Experiment, Jacky Terrasson Trio and Doug Wamble Quartet.

The Comedy Tent lineup was as follows: Lewis Black & Friends, David Cross, Dave Attell, Flight of the Conchords, Demetri Martin, Aziz Ansari, Finesse Mitchell, Lynne Koplitz, Dov Davidoff, Nick Kroll and John Bowman were scheduled to appear.

Cafe Stage performers included: Angel and the Love Mongers, Bang Bang Bang, Dave Barnes, benzos, The Biscuit Burners, Pieta Brown, Cage the Elephant, Sam Champion, Christabel and the Jons, Rocco DeLuca, Dixie Dirt, Dubconscious, The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker, Piers Faccini, Favourite Sons, Fiction Plane, Tim Fite, Haale, Jescoe, Alexa Ray Joel, Langhorne Slim, Manchester Orchestra, Jennifer Niceley, Brandy Robinson, Salvador Santana Band, Jonah Smith, Smokin' Dave and the Premo Dopes, John Paul White, Tenderhooks, Tin Cup Prophette, The Westside Daredevils and The Whigs.

Tickets are between 125-200. Only depending on when you buy them. They go up the longer you wait. There are also VIP packages that are pretty sweet, they give you backstage access and you get to park/camp alot closer. But those are for older folks or coke dealers who can afford them.

I'm not sure but you might think 125+ is a little pricey but that includes 4 days of the festival. 24 hour access to Centeroo where all the activities take place. Music goes on there from noon till about 5 in the morning. And when the music isn't going on there is a movie tent, arcade tent, internet access tent, ferris wheel, and TONS of other stuff to do there. And not to mention the party that is the campgrounds. You can do pretty much whatever you want. Since it takes place on private property the cops can't come in. There is security but they are only there to make sure there isn't a riot.

You should definately consider it even if you don't see anything music you don't like there is always a chance that you could find some stuff you end up liking.

After the first one I went to with a couple of my buddies we all vowed to attend this as many times as we possibly could. And the original group of 6 guys in '03 has grown to about 30 people. It's just one big party. I'm already thinking about Bonnaroo 2008.

Football, and sports in general, are not occaisions to look classy. They are for fun and entertainment. Would you wear a tie and khakis to go watch...I'm guesing the Saints?

I'm really having trouble grasping this concept of wanting to be "classy" at a football game. I don't know a boatload about Ole Miss....there's really no history or rivalry w/you guys.
