Wow i really hate that i missed the SECTalk league this year. ive been having problems just getting to this site for some reason lately so i missed getting in on the Action. Anyways i have a Team over on Yahoo and it looks to be in REALLY good shape in the Pitching department however my Offense is a little troublesome. I really need a Power Hitter and RBI man and i should be alright. here is my line up.

C- Paul Lo Duca
1B- Prince Fielder
2B- Richie Weeks
3B- Eric Chavez
SS- Rich Aurillia
OF- Chris Duncan
OF- Raul Ibanez
OF- Kenny Lofton
Unil- Adrian Gonzalaz
Bench- JD Drew
Bench- Nick Markakis

SP-Johan Santana
SP-Brandon Webb
RP- Fransisco Rodriguez
RP- Tom Gordon
P- Aaron Harang
P-Jake Peavy
P- Jeremy Bonderman
Bench- Dave Bush
Bench- Johnathon Broxton
Bench- Rafael Soriano

My Pitching should carry me throught the season because like i said it is loaded. my offense is a little shaky but im praying that Fielder will have a break out year and now that Duncan will get most of the starts in left field for the Cards he should have a break out year as well. Lofton and Weeks are my stolen base guys everyone on my roster scores runs but i dont have a true RBI/HR guy on my team.

oh and who do you guys think would be the better catcher Lo Duca or Johny Estrada? Estrada is a free agent and he is one of the best hitting catchers in the game right now. should i try and trade Lo Duca for a Power hitter then pick up Estrada? or would i be ok with Lo Duca?

I'd look to upgrade the power in the outfield or even at 3rd as chavez has really dropped off offensively the past couple years. Here's my team (8 teams in the league).

C Mike Piazza
1B Albert Pujols
2B Josh Barfield
3B Aramis Ramirez
SS Felipe Lopez
OF Grady Sizemore
OF Vernon Wells
OF Carlos Lee
Util Garrett Atkins
Bench Bill Hall
Bench Jason Giambi
Bench Jermaine Dye
Bench Chipper Jones

SP Ben Sheets
SP Felix Hernandez
SP Rich Harden
RP Joe Nathan
RP Felix Rodriguez
P Bob Wickman
P Dontrelle Willis
P Erik Bedard
P Chris Young

My team is pretty dirty, lot of power and still a couple guys who can steal some bases like lopez, lee, sizemore, barfield, and wells. Starting pitching has a lot of potential and so far so good; hopefully they all stay healthy. Relievers are two of the best in the game and Wickman should be solid as well. Probably want to trade Bedard and pick up another quality closer, and would really like to trade some of the third basemen i have to get a better SS, C, or stud pitcher.

yeah i think i may have too much pitching. ill see how this first week goes and if i continue to dominate the Pitching stats i may attempt to shop around a Starting pitcher for a Power bat or something.

Well so far so good. i won my first week matchup 5-4-1 and luckily no one dominated the first week. so i am only a half game out of first place. this week i am winning 8-2 so far and i still have Santana, Webb, Bonderman and Harang all due to pitch friday. and those 2 points my opponent has are in the pitching side of things so i am looking good there. i ended up Droping Markakis, Chavez and Aurillia and i Picked up Curtis Granderson, Kevin Youlkilis and Juan Uribe. and im currently in the process of shopping an outfielder in order to get an upgrade at Shortstop or 3rd base. i have a guy interested but i think he will try and give me Hank Blalock. do you guys see him as an upgrade over Youlkilis at 3rd? because what i was thinking was trade an outfielder for Blalock and drop Youkilis for for maybe Garrett Anderson orSean Green.
