15. The SEC will dominate -- again: Three SEC teams will finish in the top 10, and two will play in BCS bowl games. South Carolina will be among the biggest surprises in the country. But Big Ten commissioner Jim Delaney will remind us all that his league's teams are smarter.

Heres the other SEC ones:
7. The Crimson Tide will lose three times in September: New Alabama coach Nick Saban will win his first two games, over Division I-AA Western Carolina and Vanderbilt. But then the Crimson Tide will drop consecutive home games to Arkansas and Georgia, followed by a blowout loss to Florida State in Jacksonville, Fla. Tide fans will exclaim, "This guy ain't the Bear!"
14. A coach will be fired in Mississippi: I'm just not sure whether it will be Mississippi's Ed Orgeron or Mississippi State's Sly Croom
16. Kentucky and Louisville will rack up a 100-point game: Cardinals quarterback Brian Brohm will stake his claim as the No. 1 pick in the 2008 NFL draft when he throws for 600 yards against rival Kentucky on Sept. 15. Not to be outdone, Kentucky's Andre' Woodson will throw for 500 in the teams' 52-50 shootout. Afterward, Wildcats fans will be more upset that Kentucky's basketball team still can't score 50 in a game.
17. South Florida will upset Auburn: After romping against Division I-AA Elon -- now, that's what I call beefing up the nonconference schedule -- the Bulls will stun Auburn on the road Sept. 8. Sophomore quarterback Matt Grothe no longer will be overshadowed by West Virginia's Pat White and Louisville's Brohm.

While South Florida is our toughest home game (and that article is really old ;)) I still think we beat them easily, just too much depth on defense and they will wear down quickly.

Well, sorry if it had been posted earlier. I hadn't seen it before and thought maybe others hadn't.

Neither team will get good until these coaches are replaced. They need to hurry up and sweem O out already.

The Bama part is pretty biased if you ask me. In fact its pretty damn obvious. We all know Nick Saban ain't one of ESPN's favorite people. 3 losses in September is just ridiculous. I don't think we'll lose to Georgia and I don't see FSU blowing anybody out for a while.

I did think it was interesting that they called out three SEC coaches.

I agree. ESPN is always uninformed and then biased on top of that.

Not saying I agree with the article, but if you look at Saban's first season with LSU he got off to a rocky start and had a very mediocre year. It takes time to build programs up.

Yeah LSU also went 3-8 the year before while Bama went 6-7 with 5 of the losses by a TD or less. There are a couple of questions on defense but Bama has the ability to suprise some people. The whole FSU thing I find funny because Bama has a couple of advantages on the coaching staff with Steele coming to Bama from F$U and with Saban and Fisher working together at LSU, I bet Saban has a good idea how his offense works. Just wish Bama wasn't so secretative about what offense we are running

The assistants and some of the seniors/JPW have spoken to the media the past couple of weeks and they won't answer any questions about the style of offense. Coach Applewhite said they were still trying to evaluate the talent of the offense and when WR Keith Brown was asked how the schemes were different from Shula's he laughed and said "No comment" .

Giving any credability to what ESPN thinks about the SEC is like thinking that MSNBC or CNN looks at the Republican Party fairly. :glare:

All of you missed the last prediction of the article, the BCS Bowls for 2007. In prediction 15, it was said that there would be two SEC teams in BCS bowls, well here are the names in #20 .....
"20. TCU will crash the BCS party: West Virginia and USC will play in the BCS title game. California will play Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Florida State will play TCU in the Orange Bowl. LSU will play Louisville in the Sugar Bowl. Texas will play Georgia in the Fiesta Bowl.
And that, you can take to the bank!"

Uh... NO. We can beat and do have the capabilities to beat Arkansas and FSU. UGA is another story. I'm still on the fence about that one. But at least it's at BDS.
14. A coach will be fired in Mississippi: I'm just not sure whether it will be Mississippi's Ed Orgeron or Mississippi State's Sly Croom.
Probably both.
16. Louisville can score upwards of 50+ points per game, especially with an offensive minded coach like Kragthorpe. Can UK? Doubtfull, unless they play Richmond or Weber State. :glare: Will Brian Brohm be the #1 pick overall in 2008. Sure, why not?
17. South Florida will upset Auburn: After romping against Division I-AA Elon -- now, that's what I call beefing up the nonconference schedule -- the Bulls will stun Auburn on the road Sept. 8. South Florida CAN upset AU, but most likely won't. Matt Grothe will still be many links behind Brohm and White in the Big East (as far as the popularity contest goes). He'll be another Kevin Kolb, but not nearly talented enough for the Heisman race.
On a final note: ESPN has no friggin' clue what they are talking about. But as SEC fans, we already knew that.

Two words: Brainless Writers. ESPN is so out of touch with the SEC, and college football period. TCU won't win enough games to be considered for the BCS. Their Defense is great, but who knows about their Offense. With an above average schedule and tons of offensive firepower, WVU can or will make the BCS. USC will too. But to assume they will play one another is a wild assumption and it is far too early to tell who will be where by December. Of course I could be a hypocrite as I too am making counter predictions against ESPN in April.
Cal may make a BCS run, but I doubt the PAC-10 will have 2 BCS eligible teams come January. FSU won't even come close to the BCS, especially after making some serious coaching changes (one that went in Bama's favor) and a7 win season. Louisville in the BCS, could be. Texas and UGA in the BCS: I'll buy that.

Glen Beck loves the Republican party on CNN headline. He is the most biased reporter on television.
