It appears as if both wlex and catpause are back tracking now. But everyone remember the saying where there is smoke there is fire.

My only advice to you is don't believe anything you read until you see the press conference where Donovan is standing in front of a Kentucky backdrop.

Today's sport reporters are simply collecting internet rumors. I have already lived thru this slice of hell and I ain't going back. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

If for some reason Billy stays at UF are you going to keep posting here or will you vanish without a trace? It seems like perfect timing to join the site right when all the Donovan to UK rumors start. Just curious.
We would love to have you stay and contribute no matter what the outcome. Im mean UK does have a few fans who are regulars here but they could always use a few more:thumpsup:

This is eerily similar to the "Spurrier to Bama" rumors...which, turned out to be a bunch of overzealous Bama fans fabricating news. Same thing with the Cat fans...some started rumors and before you know it, it's being broadcast as a story. Have to admit, at first I thought...no way Billy leaves UF for UK...then, after reading the pseudo-news from CatPause, I thought...well, maybe I was wrong.....but after hearing a report from a very reliable Gator News guy yesterday, I'm not worried anymore.;)

That's putting it mildly. They flat out retracted their story because they got it from some moron on a message board. See: http://www.sectalk.com/boards/sec-basketball-talk/16540-wlex-retracts-donovan-story-post214674.html#post214674

 Imagine that! I know that sounds incredible...but... You know what's the funniest part? That the guys who are supposed to be the "real" journalists used the rumor mill of a team's biased fan site as their source. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? Fans get their information from trusted journalists, and post it on the website. And now the guy who runs MenoPause is MIA. He's AWOL while the network tries to track him down. I think you can expect to see someone from the network get fired. That may very well be the single stupidest series of events I've ever witnessed where sports "news" is concerned. I love it!

I believe you...just like I believe it was also "desperate media" that ran with the "Billy D to UK" story...and of course their fans ate it up. It got crazy on the GatorCountry Boards.....Cat fans started dozens of "Billy D is ours" threads...man, they jumped on it like Rosie O'Donnell on a T-Bone!!

Bama fans and UK fans are all alike. THey think that their legacy and that they once had Adolph Rupp roaming the campus and that Bama once had Bear Bryant roaming the campus, that these 2 legacies will bring any coach they want. I got news for both programs, this isn't the 1960's anymore. Just because the Bear coached at Bama doesnt mean squat. Same goes for Rupp. The UK job is not as attractive as you all like to make it seem.
