OK , So it is the NIT...........
But hey , It is still fun to be playing and especially when the bulk of the playing time is coming from 3 FS and 3 SOPHs.
I think this is good tournament experience for this young Bulldog team.
I guess being in the NIT final 4 is like going to the Independence Bowl. Lord wouldn't We MSU fans love some of that right now.

They got Tony Delk twin nephews, anyone in his bloodline is awesome. Rich Brooks believes you will dominate the West next year, though that wont be hard to do

Congrats on beating F$U. I always love that. The story on Yahoo says they're playing West Virginia in the semifinals. Is it the semis or the final? I think Air Force and DePaul play in the other semifinal.

We love the Delks. Both are improving and giving us good minutes.
Thanks for the compliment , but dominate is a strong word. First thought that comes to mind is Arkansas will be very good , as will Bama. It won't be easy but We should make a run at it.

hmmmm....how does Clemson squeeze in there?
edit: the winner of the AF-DePaul game plays the winner of the Clemson-Syracuse game in the other semi-final....

Tony Delk is still a GOD around here and Rich Brooks still considers him his all time favorite player. Delks have something special and I hope they give you the same success their uncle gave us.
And Alabama is always overrated and always choke in the conference, and Arky will falter once again now that Stan Heath has another couple years left.

I didn't think it was time for the finals just yet. Air Force and DePaul play tomorrow. I thought it said next Wednesday. Anyway, my point was that MSU's not in the finals, yet; but, I'm ecstatic that F$U is out.

I like MSU's chances against any of the remaining teams. Air Force is good, but I think our Dogs are better. Good luck the rest of the way!

I don't think there is a team left in the tournament that State can't beat, but If they have to play the Cuse in the finals, it would be basically a home game for them, and State hasn't played too well on the road this year. But they sure have looked good in the NIT.

I'll tell ya, Jamont Gordon is the best player in the country no one seems to know about (outside the SEC). He's a stud. If MSU hadn't been so bad at the beginning of the year, they might still be playing in the NCAA Tourney. As a Vandy fan, I watched us take a whipping in Starkville near the end of the year in a game I thought we would probably win. My point, this MSU team is probably about as improved as any in the country. They should win the NIT and will surely be a force in the West next season.

The west will be crazy next year with a state team that returns all but one of it's starters, an Arkansas team that is predominantly underclassmen, and a bama team that only loses Davidson to graduation(with the possibility of Steele to the draft). Those three teams are gonna be tough next year.

I hated delk sooo much, but also respected him. What a player he was, always pulled somthing out of his ass against us.

I don't want to come off sounding biased, but from what I've seen West Virginia doesn't have the guns to run with Mississippi State. I know they run the 1-3-1 zone, but with our outside shooting combined with Charles Rhodes on the inside we could tear that zone apart. I just hope the Delks and Company can keep West Virginia from lighting it up from behind the arc.
