I highly doubt it. I expect the same thing to happen in this game as the Maryland vs. Davidson contest. The underdog will keep it close through most of the game but the better team will pull away in the second half. The underdogs tend to come out very strong and then try to hang on for the upset in the second half. I can't see it happening in this game.

Yes! Duke blue devils are going home. They lose 77-79 to VCU.
My brackets are screwed but I dont care...its great.

The two teams I hate they most and hope they lose early are Duke & UCLA.

Guess I was wrong because that was one hell of a game. I had a feeling that Michigan St. would win last night because they are a team that if they get hot, they can play with anyone in the country. They also have Tom Izzo whom is a great tourney coach. I think Michigan St. will upset North Carolina and if Indiana can shoot the three, they can beat UCLA. JMHO. My Buckeyes looked good last night and were hitting everything but I didn't get to see the second half because they switched to the Duke game after the OSU game became a blowout.

Yeah congrats to your buckeyes. Those #16 seeds are great warm up games huh? They always seem get the #1 seeds to hit their stride for the later rounds of the tourney.

The big 10 is doing well in the tourney but that is no suprise to me. Dont forget about Vandy's big win over George Washington though. Youll get to see the rest of the SEC today and hopefully well go 5-0 but well see.

I really believe so. Both Florida and Ohio State are the two hottest teams in the tourney. Both have hit their stride and seem to be on track since both of them cruised in their respective conference tourney. I have OSU over Florida in the NCG. :ohmy:

Yeah the media would hype it to no end. No doubt that fans of other teams will get sick of hearing Florida & Ohio State so much. Can't really say I blame them.

great picks! I wouldnt have picked Marquette if I had of know they would be w/out Jerell McNeal, defensive player of the year and their third leading scorer.........Marquette is strong and I believe wouldve won

I got 12 out of 16 but the first round is always very challenging to pick. My picks are usually money around the sweet 16 or elite 8 unless of course you get another George Mason to screw things up.

Yeah, that's exactly why I didn't pick it. I thought ND probably should win this game, and the fact that everyone seemed to be picking Winthrop pushed me towards the ND pick. Really the only loss that has hurt me was GTech. I picked them to upset Wisconsin in the next round in my money pool. My elite 8 is still intact though so I'm not doomed.

Not bad results so far azamugg.......36 out of 48 so far for me, with 12 of 16 teams in the Sweet 16. However, I did lose Wisconsin from my Elite 8 (with the rest of the Elite 8 in tact). So far, I'm perfect with the South Regional.

Sure enough I was forced into my husbandly role of tag-along while my wife and her sisters prepare for prom.
I had to go because I scored a job interview down in Little Rock anyway.
On top of that, my car blew it's starter on the way back and I was stranded in Russelleville for 3 hours.
So I missed most of the tourny so far, not that I've missed much after the embarassing spanking of the ham by the Trojans.
