Next years top basketball recruit OJ Mayo, whom commited to USC this year, got a free pass for a drug charge. Figures, nothing but a bunch of pre-madonnas.

He wouldn't have even been charged with a crime in California. They're de-criminalizing marijuana possession. They hand out tickets like traffic citations, now.

Most star HS athletes get free passes from the local authorities.

Case in point, five years ago, Quinton Culberson out of Provine HS in Jackson assaulted a plain clothes police officer when the officer told him that the Mississippi Coliseum was full (Provine was playing in the state basketball championship). All charges were dropped.

The difference between a USC education and an OSU education is that we know that there is no such creature as a "pre-madonna." The only meaning that I would conjure for this is that O.J. Mayo is "before the Virgin Mary."

I think that your pathetic little vocabulary was seeking the term "prima donna." It is a term from Italian that means "the First Lady." In the operatic community it used to mean the woman with the major aria in a specific performance. Overtime, it became a term of derision to refer to a woman who thought herself to be arrogantly more important than others.

Despite all of this, I am particularly proud that the long arm of the USC athletic department has the influence to sway a magistrate's decision in West Virginia. I am also glad to see the resentment and envy that my alma mater creates in a state school half a continent away.

BTW, you'd better duck, I think I hear Woody Hayes winding up for another roundhouse. Oh, nope. My bad. It was just Urban Meyer spanking Jim Tressel again.
