First things first....congrats (AGAIN!!) to the Gators on winning the SEC Tourney and probably securing a number 1 seed. Frankly, this is getting disgusting!! Before we know it, the Gators will be looking for a new conference in which they have some competition! :brick:
I know we're less than 2 hours away from the announcement, but based on the weekends' results, how many invites will the SEC get to the big dance??
I think Arkansas (as I predicted) played their way in. A better performance againt the Gators may have solidified it, but I think they're in none-the-less. That brings us to Miss State....was defeating Kentucky enough?? I really don't think so!! I would love to see it, and I would instantly make them a dark horse to do some damage in the tourney, but if the selections were made prior to the weekend, the SEC would have only gotten four. I just don't see the Bulldog's one victory being enough to have the conference pick up two extra invites. You had the felling that the MSU-Arky game was basically a play-in game for the final spot and I think that's going to be the unfortunate reality for the Bulldogs! Thoughts??
A few parting notes....
* Big ups for my Vols for at least being consistently predictable in the SEC Tourney. That was pathetic....especially considering the way the Rebs wiped the floor with the Tigers the following night. For Gods' sake, please let's not draw another traditional power like Wichita State in the 1st round!!
* Congrats to Bama for drinking that final swallow from their can of quit on the season. What a mess and what a waste!!
* Finally, will KY fan please shut up!! Your program's fine....Tubby hasn't forgotten how to coach....blah, blah, blah!! You're startting to sound like Bama football fan. Look around the country! There are no more dynasties and the playing field (or court in this case) has leveled off. You'll be ok!!
