It's a good thing Bama had an off-day on Monday this week. It hasn't been a stellar week. After another pathetic losing football season (resulting in a head coaching change), and then a sweep by the Barn in basketball (possibly resulting in a head coaching change) - it seemed as though things could not get worse.
But on Sunday Bama basketball was thoroughly thrashed by Miss. State 91-67. On Tuesday Southern Miss freshman right-hander Todd McInnis took a no hitter into the 8th inning for a 5-0 victory over Bama baseball. On Wednesday, a different Golden Eagle from Tennessee Tech (7-5) downed the Bama baseball team 8-6. On Thursday Kentucky sent Bama home early from Atlanta with a 79-67 whipping of the Bama basketball team. It was a good thing Bama men's had Monday off.
Hopefully Bama can get a win this weekend as the baseball team hosts the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
And it's possible that if the Barn sweeps Bama in baseball at Plainsman Park on April 20-22, yet another coaching change could occur at the Capstone.
The good news is the weather is warming fast and the fish will be biting soon. Bama is pretty dominant and has truly become a fishing school.
