What's the historical viewers for evening news for the big three? Has CBS alwayz been behind or is that a since-Katie phenomenon?

Well CBS is the most watched network or so they and I assume the ratings say. Of course nobody likes her so it must be the CSI/Survivor effect keeping them on top.

Katie has always been a non-entity in my daily routine---could not help noticing her while getting ready for work each morning when she was with NBC.
I lost any respect for her when she made her infamous whinning statement about how difficult her job was because she had to arise each day at 4am to prepare for the broadcast. If I had her annual salary, I would not complain---heck, I would never sleep again !!!!!!
I'm sure the NYPD officers who earn less than her grocery bill or the Sanitation workers who get up on a daily basis at 4am would love to have her problems.
Let's put it in perspective, if CBS replaced her tomorrow, life as we know it would continue without a hitch--- if we didn't have the other group of folks o I mentioned, how would life be?

During the time of Walter Cronkite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Cronkite) CBS was on top of their news game. With the ensuing Dan Rather (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Rather) debacle, they have been on the decline and Katie Couric (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katie_Couric) has been unable to diminish the fall out.
