Big enough that coach Pat Summit is planning on attending topless and painted Orange and White.

 I'm going to be blind. Actually, it's pretty big for both schools; but I'd say it's definitely more important to UT. They're on the bubble for the NCAA's and still 1 game behind Vandy. They'll also be playing for seeding in the SEC tourney. UF has already secured its seeding for the SEC tourney; but we still need to be winning games for the better seeding in the Big Dance.
It's a big game for both teams, but UT should be worried because Florida will be on the court ready to play after that loss to LSU.

You must not realize the game was already played (last night). Tennessee didn't appear to be worried as they played a heck of a game. Tennessee won.
Yeah for some reason I thought the game was tonight. Congrats to the Vols', from what I'm reading y'all dominated the game.

Yeah, I don't know which was worse...Pat's singing or her attire. I do love the what Pearl has done in Knoxville, though. He and Billy D are in for many big-time showdowns for years to come with all of the talent these 2 teams have and are consistently bringing in. Of course it is 3-1 in favor of Big Bruce, but who's counting. Billy does have a 1-0 lead in the ultimate scoreboard of course.
I wish I had been on here yesterday to address this as I'm playing Monday Morning QB now, but this post was nothing more than laying down the excuses before the game IMO. Look, the Vols were in the tourney regardless of the result last night while the Gators were attempting to avoid choking up a Number 1 seed in the big dance. The game was big for both...you could make an argument both ways.
Anyways, to the game, nice win for the Vols. They were dominant and ready to play. Thank You fellow Vols' fans for not making asses out of us by storming the court. This was NOT an "upset" and big wins are becoming the norm.
I'll give kudos to the Gators for not laying down and at least making it interesting, but how you're not up for this game from the beginning completely boggles me and has got to be a concern for you Gators. If this were a one-time instant, I could buy it, but you're coming off an ass-whipping by the lowly Bayou Bengals, fighting for a number 1 seed, playing on National Television against arguably your biggest rival who swept you a year ago in your NT season, and the added bonus opportunity to keep your rival from having an undefeated home season by spoiling Senior day. How much more motivation do you need?? To play with that lack of enthusiasm was just shocking! And please don't come with the weak argument that you have the SEC wrapped up and therefore are just playing these games out. You're the defending National Champs...winning the SEC was nice and will garner you another cute banner in your gym, but somehow I have a hard time thinking that Gator Nation or Billy D have any sense of accomplishment right now! The Gators just simply did not compete for the first 25 minutes last night. There were no less than 50 comparisons to the "slump" from last year, but there are no real comparisons. If a loss were just a loss, so be it, but this is 2 straight games and 3 of 4 in which the Gators just didn't compete. The Gators do get the opportunity to "right the ship" really quickly with their next game vs. the Cats and of course the SEC Tourney. They have the talent and coach to do it, but I'd be really concerned right now if I was a Gator!!

Given the title of this thread, I was actually afraid to open it.

Great post...and congrats on the win. I can't say it any better than you have. There's no excuse. I actually expected the Gators to come out and pound UT...Billy D ripped them a new "arse" after the embarassing loss to LSU. But, again, they came out and didn't even play the entire first half...they waited until the game was 2/3's over before "waking up".....not a bad effort though, considering the Gators played horribly and only lost by 10...but still, this "slump" is different than last season...they guys have quit playing.
The problem with a "team" like Florida...is they are a TEAM.....there's very little leadership because everyone is on an even keel.....there's no "star" to take over the game or chew-out the guys for the lazy passes or the lazy defensive play.
