Bassmaster Classic

Anyone into fishing on here. The classic this year was held in Alabama and a home state boy,Boyd Duckett, won it over Skeet Reese and my fav. Kevin Van Dam. Damn I wanna go fishing now.

Love to bass fish...I quit following Bassmasters a few years ago when they "screwed" a local guy out of the trophy. Here in the panhandle, a few years back, they had one of the tournaments at Lake Eufala in Alabama....or Lake Seminole in Florida...can't remember, it's been several years, anyway, a local guy and his friend entered...this guy is a plumber, but he smoked the "pros".....anyway, when he weighed in, it was obvious that he had "ran away" with it...but they "questioned" some of his catch and he was sent home without an explaination or anything.....the "winning" fisher won like $100,000. He sued them and they produced one of the "papers" he'd signed when entering the Tournament.....it was about 10 pages long and had a "fine-print" that stated "We reserve the right to disqualify any competitor for any reason"...or something like that...it was very vague. So, he lost his case. I didn't realize that "anyone" with $2,000 could enter the tournament...but, looks like they make sure "Joe-blow" has no chance at winning it.

Im all into the outdoor thing (fishing, camping and hunting) but I cant possibly watch a show on fishing.

I didn't catch it this year but I do enjoy the Bassmasters. Usually pull for the Arkansas guys of course like Larry Nixon but Van Dam is great. I know its not tournament style, but nothing compares to the good ol Bill Dance shows though. :)
