I don't expect the same performance from ALA that they showed in Auburn. Both teams have been up and down this year. Who's gonna win?

regardless of who is playing, its hard to bet against a home team in the SEC, plus gottfried had an epiphany tuesday nite, he decided to play some of his bench......and discovered they can play! Auburn's strength is that they are EXTREMELY quick but we're gonna take 'em down low baby

I love how this team thinks they can get away with coasting for 35 minutes and then win it in the last 5. What a disgrace.

So by your logic South Carolina was a better team than Florida last year since they best them both times in the regular season and only lost by a basket in the SEC Tourney correct? Auburn was the better team today, and congrats because they out played Bama, but Alabama is the better team.

autiger1126

we've beaten you twice and currently lead you in the SEC. I'd say you have better talent on your team, but your coach sucks, and we're a better team. It showed today when we beat you at home and it showed a few weeks ago when we took you to the woodshed.

Once again, are you suggesting that just because Auburn won they are the better team BECASUE they won? Because you would also have to say that last season South Carolina was better than Florida, which they obviously were not.

Alabama is still has a chance to get in the NCAA tourney. Auburn's only chance is to win the tourney. Better teams get to the big dance

(Texas Tech is a team similar to Auburn record wise this season. They have two wins over the top 10. BOTH were against Texas A&M. Is Texas Tech a better team than Texas A&M? NO.)

Tenn, Vandy, Alabama 2 times....yea sure we cant beat anyone else.
bama is also 6-8 in SEC play by the way. even if we dont make a tournament we can crush someones dreams.

We had a hard schedule with ok state, wisconsin, and pitt.

You beat Tennessee by three, at your place (the Vols had one road win all season up til today, now they're at two!) good job there.

Beat Vandy on 1/6/07 by three, when they were a 10-5 team. Now they are 18-9. Pretty sure they would beat you guys now, since they've gotten much better. You beat them before they were that good.

a win is a win is a win, is it not??

and how can a Vandy team with a .667% winning % on 1/6/07 be a weaker team than a Vandy team with a .667% winning % today??

What marquee win has ALA had this year? I was watching college game night and after showing highlights of the SWEEP, they were showing ALA tourney resume. Key wins were over Kentucky and Xavier. That's it! Digger Phelps said they are NOT a tournament team.

You Auburn fans are hilarious. With all this I'll take a win over my rival than a NCAA Tournemant berth mentality.

I've said many times that AU fans need to give Lebo a chance because he is a great coach. He gutted all the trash that was part of Auburn Basketball and is building it up. I truly believe that CMG does not understand how to prepare for a game and the players seem like they are just running around out on the floor with no plan at all.

Do you not realize what you just said? They were 10-5. That's a 2-1 win/loss ratio.

Since then, they are 8-4. That's a 2-1 won/loss ratio.

What's the difference now?

I'm cool for right now, with my little pitiful helmet. I was more admiring the helpless victim of Pollock's in Seppeh's siggy, you know. I'm sure that Bulldog fans could come up with several siggys using Gamecock players as victims, as well. I know the interception/fumble/take away in the SC endzone of Pollock from Cory Jenkins a few years back is still an infamous play for us. I'm just glad that Seppeh chose to use a Clemsux player....

I may come calling on you for a siggy in the future, though.

Nope. Million Dollar Mark just helped us set a new season attendance record at Coleman, so he'll probably stay just because butts are in the seats. And let me tell you, I can't wait to see what he has in store for whoever those unlucky schmoes are that come here to play in the NIT. Its gonna be crazy.

And I don't think Auburn sealed Shula's fate. I'd say losing to a Miss. State team that lost to Tulane did that for Shula.

Loosing to MSU came before loosing the Auburn game. You gotta bake the cake before you put the ICING on it :)

If Bama had beat Auburn I still think he would have been fired. It just gave Bama a good excuse (0-4 vs biggest rival) rather than trying to ruin his name by making public some of the things that were "rumored" to have went on behind the scenes.

Gottfried won't be gone until he has a few bad seasons in a row. He has made 5 straight NCAAs and will tie the school record if we make it this year with 6 straight trips, took Alabama to their only Elite Eight, and has been said the team has packed out Coleman. Honestly, next season will be a big deciding factor. Steele should be healthy and Davidson is the only senior. None of the younger guys have shown themselves to be "NBA ready" either. The young guys have shown they can play the last couple of game (really well in the UT game). If we can learn how to defend the 3 our w/l record will be improved because if you can make a bunch of 3s you will win cause we can't defend it.

the one thing about Auburn is they are incredibly quick, the quickest Ive seen next to Tennessee, and they go all out till the horn........they don't shoot the ball well but they obviously figured out that they can make up for that..............

Gottfried has no offense, he says we fun the UCLA motion but thats BS, we run some high screens to give the wings a shot and everybody else meanders around..........the only reason we're winning some games is we have alot of athleticism thats overcoming our lack of offense but some nites your shot is off, theres is on and athleticism won't win it
