My brother lives in Las Vegas and was telling me what a nightmare the NBA All-star weekend turned out to be. This article underestimates the reports I'm hearing from him and other locals.

Rant on:

Tolerance has run amok and now people with no respect for the law or society are running amok. Tolerance has been stretched to mean you can't criticize anyone that has been "victimized" by historical evils without being labeled a racist. Therefore, too few people are willing to say publicly that they are disgusted by what is happening in our society. Arguments quickly turn to the wrongs of others that somehow make this wrong, acceptable or understandable. Not to me.

We have Biker's Week in Myrtle Beach every year where Tens of Thousands of Black Bikers come for a week in May. Probably one of the most beautiful times of the year to be in Myrtle Beach. Unfortunately, if you're white or have a family, or don't look and play like they do, you'd be risking your life to go during that time. (Ironically, some that do fit the mold are killed). But the ACLU, NAACP, and Jesse Jackson have threatened to sue locals that prefer to board up their businesses rather than live in fear that week, for discrimination. They were run out of Florida for their behavior, but because we're South Carolina (known racists with a cross ready for burning in every shed), we welcome them or risk further ridicule from the rest of the country. God-forbid we actually say, out loud, we don't want them destroying our towns and terrorizing our people either.

When I lived in New Orleans, black on white crime was routine, but never reported as hate crimes or racist attacks. The world got a small picture of the human decay from poverty, drugs, and crime during Katrina. The hurricane was awful by itself. However, it opened an opportunity for those that have never seen a project, to see what is happening to that part of us. But was anyone trying to figure out why or how this tragedy came about? If it were discussed, it lasted about 5 minutes until some explosive news broke about Britney Spears or Tom Cruise having another romance crisis. No, it's quickly written off as a result of slavery, southern racism, and bigotry. A convenient and well-worn scapegoat for those living in certain areas of the country. They have no idea and no care, for the most part, of what this countries policies have incubated.

But this isn't an issue all about race. It's about personal responsibility and largely, in my view, the politics being played with human lives to insure a block of votes through entitlements and vicitimization. Ultimately it has helped mostly the white politicians that have stripped the work-ethic, sense of community, and hope for accomplishment from a large segment of our population. Aided by the true Uncle Tom's such as Jesse Jackson et.al. that are fine with "delivering" the vote so long as they get paid for it. It's not unlike the Emancipation Proclamation when the Blacks were free, but not free to settle in New England. Politicians want their vote, but don't truly care about the people. In truth it's been as bad for many Blacks as ethnic cleansing in other countries, except this way it's a slow-death through ignorance, pain, addiction, hate, violence, confusion, incarceration, and premature death. Barely sustained and then only long enough to bring more voters of the same mind into this world.

This isn't a Black's only issue. It's just most prominent in that segment because they were the first to be cornered into that hopeless cycle. There's an entire subculture across racial lines that is bubbling up. The media want report it, so-called intellectuals are above it, and those of us in the middle are fed tripe to keep our minds off of it.

This type of behavior isn't cultural, it's criminal and people shouldn't ignore it.

Rant off.
