hiring a second (and third) choice, "B" team assistant coaching staff. As it was in recruiting, his time was limited. But only one has quit so far, so that's good. The irony here seems to be that he was actually Bama's 2nd (or 3rd) choice head coach.

let me run outside real quick to laugh at how stupid that post was.
:rolling2:
our AD wanted Saban the entire time, but we couldn't talk to him until his season ended. Oh, wait, you didn't notice there were only a couple of days since the end of the dolphins season and to the point of when we hired him right?
and as for the assistants, that would take too long. but if we have a "B" team, what would you grade your own set?:scratch_h

All of the barns assistant's return and tha barn is 23-3 in last 26 SEC games (Bama is 0-3 in their last 3). So I would give them an "A". So Rich Rodriguez was never really offered the job? You can never trust the press.

In all fairness, Auburn has had the best set of assistants in the nation for several years running now.

The irony as you say is just as I thought. Yours and "the thirds" family tree has no branches.

ill give you that one
but i think you need to cut our assistants some slack, i mean, they havn't even coached a game yet (meaning you can throw out your little 0-3 comment)
RR was offered the job, yes, but saban wouldn't even speak to our AD until his season was over with. and we probably picked up the best coach out of all our picks on your quoted "second or third choice"

it's his signature comeback, and he doesn't want to wear it out, you know...he's only posted it about 20 times the last month......
