HOW TO GET YOUR STADIUM NAMED AFTER YOURSELF AT AUBURN

1. Serve as head coach for 25 years.
2. Compile a 9-16 record against you instate rival
3. Win 6 games or less 10 times during those 25 years
4. Appear in 2 (TWO) major bowl games, and lose both.

IMO, Shug is one of the greatest mediocre coaches ever to walk a sideline in the SEC.

Aren't you the one who was endlessly bitching about how all Auburn fans are too concerned with Alabama and need to worry about ourselves?

Yes, that was you. Hmm, how ironic....

Yep, that was me. Whats wrong, dont they say "two can play that game". You barners are the ones who want to keep something going so dont get mad when I start point out some things to you.

So its cool for you to post that Bear was a alcoholic/wife beater just yesterday, but you are mad because I mentioned a couple of Shug's records. Isnt it "ironic", dont you think?

Bear made sure the state of Alabama wasn't on a level playing field recruiting-wise and Shug had to do his best with what he could get. Auburn fans back then understood that, and in reading our history I understand it today.

Translation.............Bear out-recuited Shug. Isnt that the "name of the game"? Pretty sad when you blame Shug's mediocre accomplishments on Bear. Then again, I believe you are the same barner that blames Pat Dye's demise on Eric Ramsey's wife. Forrest for the trees my friend.

I am also not the one who flipped my lid about you posting on Auburn. That was you, my man, on Aubies posting on Bammer

Say one thing, and do another.

I also didn't start a thread about it, it was in response to your thread that called Dye and alcoholic. And oh yeah, I didn't call him anything, I just posted articles (with links) that did. Wife beater was not one of the things mentioned.

You're comparing apples and oranges my man.

My problem was the barners flaming the Bama section, not posting on it, and anyway, we are in the "trash talk" now. I didnt say you started a thread about it and I didnt say you called bear "anything". I said you posted it, hate to harp on this but "reading comprehension". The one thing I will give you though, you didnt post that he beat his wife, just that he cheated on her. Either way, you were going for the same effect. Regardless, is Shug's record soo bad that you feel you have to take it out on me? Lighten up my friend, I got nuthin' but love for the barn. BTW, did you know that Shug was a big drinker, I mean, you obviously researched this with Bear, but have you looked in your own closet?

Actually cn713, you just cant be nice to some people, I tried, I even didnt bash the barn at first, but the barners kept encouraging him and asking me for "better material". Well, give em what they ask for I guess.

Wow, thethurd would be so proud, 5 in a row! The only argument a barner knows. Totally relative to the thread, I love how barners use this as a "get out of jail free" card. Just curious, was that in responce to the original post or the comment about Shug drinking?

This is the last time I inform you that I am not female. I leave it to the administration to handle this from now on.

By the way, who is "Denny" of Bryant-Denny?
Just wondering.

And who was Ben Hill Griffin?

Neyland I know.

It's better when you don't name your stadiums after real people.
Everyone, for example, can identify Tiger Stadium or Death Valley (as a place you don't want to be the opponent on Saturday night).

former UA President George H. Denny. He first saw that a national power in football would bring more publicity to UA than just about anything. (Denny Chimes is also named after him, he also coind the nickname "The Capstone" for UA)

I call you a troll and a hypocrite because by your posting history, you are one. Only those who are satisfied with disregarding the true definition of those labels would argue that fact.

As an example: you heavily criticized thethird for referring to another member here as a "flaming fag". Casting offensive insinuations towards someone's sexual preferences is no different to casting offensive insinuations towards someone's sexual gender. Especially since you know that I'm a man. Yet you choose to indulge in the same thing that just a day earlier you denounced when someone else posted it. Ergo, the definition of "hypocrite". Don't be ashamed of it, troll. You wear it well.

I have not posted a single thing on this site that would suggest to anyone that I am female. You have been given no justification to call me such. Are you not any more mature than this? Does this give me the right to start calling you a "flaming fag", or to start describing you as a homosexual to other members here? Am I allowed to start calling you feminine names, like Nancy, or Gertrude?

The fact seems to be that you are a "loser" in the grand scheme of life, and too immature to hold yourself in any better light than what you represent yourself to be on this site, and that is sad and pathetic. I call you a troll and a hypocrite when you continue to post in the habit of a troll or hypocrite, and the best you can do in response is resort to juvenile insults and name calling. Calling a hypocrite a hypocrite is not name-calling, if it is true. I am not a female. You could've just called me a troll or hypocrite, although my post history in that light is but a shadow of yours. But you couldn't even keep it that above-board.........

Thethird is also a troll. I thought at first he was going to relegate himself to the Trash Talk forum, but he has spread elsewhere. At least he started in the right place, unlike you. But you had the choice to respond to him with two (2) ways: either ignore him, and keep to the upper mature ground, or dive right in with him, and try to out-juvenile him. Guess which choice you took. That speaks volumes about you, troll. You are a "loser" in life.

Great rant my friend, but you left out a couple of things. I, unlike you, will spare everyone the novel. Call me "Nancy" or "Gertrude", I wont cry about it, quite the contrary. As far as the "flaming fag" comment, if I call you "woman", it is a joke at your expense, if I call you a "flaming fag" it is an insult to the ENTIRE GAY COMMUNITY. If a woman browses this site, I doubt she will be offended, if a gay person browses this site, I am sure they will. If I still have to explain this, you will never understand. Now, as far as you reporting me to admin for calling you "Francis" or "she", well hypocrite, you just called me about 5 or more different names in that last post.

lacene

But if I call you a homosexual, or gay, or describe you as such to other members, then there would be no offense to members of the gay community, as those labels are not considered derogatory slang, or epithets.

Any name that I have called you can be justified several times over by your posts in these forums. Once again, you - nor anyone else at this site - will find any posts in my history that justifies you referring to me as a female. There is a blatant difference between the two actions, but I doubt that you have the intelligence to understand their meanings......

BTW, you sure do flame alot of my post for someone who claims to have me on ignore. Why is it that you want my attention so bad? Its kind of weird, like you are obsessing about me or something. I dont ever even talk about USC, you know. If you really dislike me as much as you claim, if I really bother you that much, quit making comments to me, its that simple. We are in the "trash talk section" by the way, why are you here, you act as though you are above it all anyway. You are taking this too serious bud, and it is frickin' hilarious.
