They once had the greatest coach in history. He actual won most of their 'real' NC's. Then he died in 1983. Since then they have had 1 NC (which included some luck - since Washigton & Miami would have played for the NC had they won out). And since the power of the Bear could no longer prevent them from NCAA sanctions, penalties are being handed out at a pretty fast pace, recently. But this has been a great excuse for Brokeback Tubby's success. Any team that goes on probation will suffer immediatley except for the last time the Barn went on probation - they won their first 20 games. So now we are in 2007. Bama's loyalty to Saban will go unwithered. Even though Bama has hired their 6th coach since 2000 (the Barn is on their 6th coach since 1951), Bama will not need to be patient with Saban. He will bring the long desired success to the Bama nation immediately. He will simply dominate the weak SEC. The other SEC teams understand that they will all be playing for 2nd place - and have readily accepted this. BAMA is BACK...

Judging by how many SEC and National Championships Auburn's won, maybe you ought to think about making coaching changes more often. Having just a few coaches over the years is great, if they're winning something. Keeping them around and still not winning any titles is called a glutton for punishment. Satisfaction with mediocrity.

Really something to brag about, huh? We have only had a "few" coaches, unfortunately, they were all losers!
