Believe me, I am not accussing all barners of this, but why are some people so AUbsessed with Bama that they cant talk about anything else. Its very sad that they have won the last 5 meetings, yet they are still more concerned about whats happening at Bama than they are at AU. A new poster here cant even make a single post without saying Bama, pathetic. Whats with the deep-seated hatred and resentment of the Tide. Did your daddy beat you with a UofA belt or maybe you got beat up by a Bama fan? Could be that you cant stop living in the past, I know it must have been traumatizing for you but you have to let it go. All jokes aside, my guess is p..... envy mixed with an extreme inferiority complex and possible mental retardation. Get a life, if you are so infatUAted with Bama, go by a t-shirt, or heres an idea, concentrate on AU for a while.

while it does get old, there is a bit of irony in you post. it's kind of obvious he is just trying to get a reaction. just don't respond and they won't continue. by the way, the infatUAtion and AUbsession thing is gettin old. ;)

Personally I have not been involved in message boards in the past - until the Saban hiring. But now these forum's with Bama fans are just too entertaining to stay away from. In my opinion, Bama fans are the most arrogant, condescending, close-minded, impatient, least loyal - of all of the sports fans in the world. They have been hiding for a long time. But since the Saban hiring - their true self has reappeared. Just state shear biased opinions based strictly on emotions and keep saying it over & over until it's 100 % kinda-sorta true. It's really entertaining. Auburn & the rest of the SEC is waiting to see your new coach and your arrogant, self-appointed, immediate success. Bring it on!
As far as hating Bama? Yes I do. And my bama friends share the hate. It is why it is the #1 sport rivalry in the world.

While I cannot read - and really do not care to - shk999's post, it obviously seems to be a thread started to complain about other's posting practices, especially in regards to the Auburn vs Alabama rivalry. While I agree it's gotten old - mainly because the topics for the threads are being rehashed again and again - I just wanted to point out the hypocrisy in the OP's post.
This is the Trash Talk forum, where threads of such nature belong. What's even worse is when others post spam, flames and personal attacks in other threads that are not in this forum, and hijack those threads time and again just to start, or prolong, arguments that have nothing to do with the thread's topic. Posters who have a pattern of doing that are called by definition: trolls.
I just wanted to point that out. The OP has a history of doing the above, and several times over. The posters of the threads I have seen in this forum section (Trash Talk) - and what I imagine the OP above is referring to, have not come close to the offensive practices the OP has engaged in...not by a mile. That's why it strikes me to see him, of all the posters on this site, posting this thread.
I just have always had an issue with hypocrisy, sorry.....

Actually, you've only encountered a few Bama fans on here. Most of us are rational. Especially timNem and Noah.Dreams. I've gone at it before with AU and SC fans on the boards.
BTW, you said we are the least loyal fanbase out there. That's BS and you know it. Most of what you said can only be construed by others as biased opinion. If anything we are the most loyal, especially sticking by our team during probation, Mike Shula, Mike Price, Dennis Franboobs, and Mike Dubose.
Now that's loyalty.
PS: That's a good idea for a show. 3 Mikes and A Dennis.

I guess part of my loyalty accusation is based on coaching stability. Bear Bryant taught Auburn fans to be loyal and taught Bama fans to expect dominance (which in turn causes lack of patience & loyalty). Since Bear Bryant retired, Bama has endured now their 9th head coach - and only one lasted for longer than four years. Also during that time, Auburn has made 3 coaching changes (including Bill Oliver's interim position). Dye was at Auburn 12 years, Bowden 5 1/2 years, Oliver 1/2 year and Tubs coming up on his 9th season. Also Saban is Bama's 6th coach since 2000, Tubs is Auburn's 6th coach since 1951. This seems to fit a pattern of loyalty/disloyalty. I know there are other factors for 'loyalty' - but these head coaching numbers are a bit staggering. Just an observation, though.

How do coaching changes make a fan disloyal? Perhaps it makes coaches disloyal to the team. Perkins wanted to try his hand at the NFL. Curry was not well recieved by the fans. They were loyal to Bama, but not to Curry. Stallings left on his own accord, it had nothing to do with fans.
Dubose couldn't hack it year in and year out and was fired by Mal Moore. Fran bailed on us all on his own. Price set a horrible example for players by visiting a strip club. The decision to fire him was Mal Moore's, not the fans. Mike Shula had fan support and some still wish he was never fired. Again, that was Mal Moore's decision.
Coaching changes can be affected by fans who want their team to do well. But ultimately it's the AD and/or President's decision to release a coach. The fans have loyalty to the team, but not certain coaches. I think that is the issue you are confusing.
Again, how can an AD firing a coach who does poorly be construed, justly, as fans not being loyal to Alabama? We're loyal. We stick with our team win or lose. Every time we get a new coach it's always the same, "He's the one, he's our coach." Then when the coach doesn't perform well enough (4 coaches boasting records of 4-7, 3-8, 4-9, 6-6, 6-7 over 10 years wouldn't set well with any team) the fans tend to get pissed that he isn't doing enough to help their team win.
You are wrong about Alabama fans not being loyal to the Crimson Tide.
You are also under the assumption that all Bama fans are the same and think the same. Gross miscalculation.

Actually, I didnt say she did any of the things you mentioned. She has been on my back ever since we looked at Spurrier as a HC. Granted, the arguments with the USCeast fans got pretty heated buy she cant seem to let it go. Defending UA and flaming are two different things, I came here in hopes of finding out some news on Shula (when he was about to be let go) and was greeted by constant Bama bashing about everything from the Iron bowl to Bama will never get a coach all the way to the present. Truth is, I dont think I have ever flamed a thread, all I have done is defend Bama against the constant smartass remarks from AU fans to USC fans and everybody in between. Since the hostility toward Bama has died down, so have I(you know you cant deny this as our words have been alot more civil as of late), but a certain poster seems to want to stir it all up again. Lacene wants to get in the mix, call me names and accuse me of trolling and flaming when that couldnt be farther from the truth. How many times do I have to show the barn some respect before people realize I dont want to down their team, I just expect the same in return. I have said it before and like everything else I post here it is the truth, I treat people like they treat me, show me some respect and I will do the same (lacene included), treat me like sh!t and talk down about Bama, thats what you get in return. I have a blast at this site and consider everyone here friends, even the barners, and I dont take it too seriously. Maybe people hate reading my post and cant stand me being here, and that is sad, but nobody needs to act like I start a bunch of arguments and talk to everyone like fools because that just isnt true. There is a HUGE difference in "flaming/trolling" and defending your school against trashtalk. You admit partcipating in these arguments, as do I and I am sure a few other posters, but lacene acts like I am responsible for every argument that happens here and personally, im sick of it.
EDIT: If you dont see it with lacene, maybe you need to look a little harder, read her first post in this thread, this was about UA/AU and even Blake saw where I was coming from, but lacene (who is not a barner or a bammer) wrote 1000 words about what a troll, flamer and hypocrite I am, totally unprovoked, just to start an argument with me. If thats not flaming/trolling, what is. Like I said, lacene=hypocrite.

Guy's got a point. That's a lot to endure and I know all programs have their down time but its hard to withdraw from kicking the dead horse that is Alabama. No doubt Bama has tradition and was good way back then but I'm 24 years old so sorry, I didn't grow in the "Bear" days. THESE days, UAT hasn't had too much to cheer about. The second coming of Christ has come to T-town in Saban but until he proves himself at Bama, THE DEAD HORSE WILL CONTINUE TO BE KICKED :uglyhamme

That hurts so bad coming from you, the guy who likes AU because of their colors. Thanks for your input though, you are the reason people hate AU, not because of the team, because of the spiteful redneck fans like you and thurd. Its not your fault though, there is a very good reason for it.
