4-star OL Antwane Greenlee, the 5th best OL in the country per Rivals, signed with F$U today after being committed to UGA for quite some time now. This is one of the crazy things I hate about NSD. You (and the coaches) get a peace when a kid commits, and then he pulls the switcheroo on NSD. It's different if the kid gives you time to rebound, but there's not much you can do when he changes his mind on NSD. As for UGA, however, I think they'll be okay. They are bringing in 7 OL now, and they are all quality players. What sucks for them is that Greenlee was from Georgia (Columbus), and he was probably the best of the bunch.

That's F$U for you though. He was probably told not to tell Georgia til today.

Bowden must have given him part of his Social Security money.

We had this argument with Omahabound in the Florida Recruiting forum, yesterday. That's how Bobby Bawlin' does it. He tells kids to make sure they don't let on to their current committment that they're switching. He finally got somebody besides UF. If it happens to enough teams, maybe UF fans won't have to keep having this discussion about why we don't hold scholarships for guys who want to shop around. The signing day switcheroo is the new name of the game.

I guess this is where I'm supposed to say, "we didn't want him anyway" or "we don't want guys who don't want us".
Whatever. I really would have liked to have him. Apparently, our motto in recruiting this year was "you can never have enough O-linemen"
If Bowden really did that, he'll have to answer to Jesus. And that day is rapidly approaching, if you knowhutamean.

Rumor has it that Little will now be committing to the Dawgs. This would be a great consolation prize to losing Greenlee.
Scout has an article and other boards are posting that Little has already signed...however, i will wait till i see its official before the good feelings start.

Yep...its official, Little is a Dawg. Sounds like the coaching staff at UGA may of had a suspicion that Greenlee would be switiching. Little was originally committed to Notre Dame. I imagine Richt and Gardner were in contact with Little explaining the opportunity that was going to arise.

Hate to lose Greenlee, but Little is just as good. They are both big boys who can help immediately. Greenlee has been a diehard FSU fan since a little kid. I hate that he pulled the switcheroo at the last minute, but at least we didn't lose out totally.

Haha, why do you keep saying I think you should hold spots for the kids. That's not what I was saying, and I tried clarifying several times. You're simply not eliminating the offer. The kid is no longer commited under my plan...you're NOT HOLDING A SPOT FOR ANYONE, hehe. If someone else comes along you take him and not the other guy. I never said there was anything wrong with that.

I'm wondering if the coaches at UGA new about the switch considering they had 7 other OL commits and were able to get Little
