....wait until you read this (ESPN):
"Under the current BCS rules, the Irish automatically qualify for a BCS bowl game with a finish in the top eight of the final BCS standings. They will be considered (and probably chosen) for a BCS bowl game if they finish in the top 12. Notre Dame keeps $4.5 million each time it plays in a BCS bowl game; the school receives $1 million from the BCS even if the Irish don't qualify for one of college football's biggest bowl games."
Are you kidding me? How do these guys get away with this stuff?
ADs and Presidents don't want a playoff, fine, but you'd think they wouldn't stand for the Irish getting a bigger piece of the pie they don't deserve.

Well, when the current contract runs out, it probably won't be renewed. I think everyone's seeing how "well" this one's working out. If they keep getting thumped in their bowl games, the NCAA won't get any peace from the uproar. They haven't even won a bowl game in the BCS era; have they? I don't know if it's such a blessing for them. They keep going to the big game; only to get blown out. If they went to a less high-profile game, maybe they'd have a few wins to show for it. I'd rather be a Cotton or Outback Bowl winner every year than a sure BCS Bowl game loser every year.

I wonder if I can hire a midget to dress up like a leprecaun and let me throw him against the wall a few times to work out some of the anger issues I have with Notre Dame.

Talk about an ego trip. ND seriously believes they are still better than everyone else, even after losing 9 straight bowl game, and not winning and outright NC since 1988. That's almost 20 years folks. :glare: Get over it Notre Dame.
