Chris Culliver and Cameron Newton now 5 stars.

I can't believe that Newton moved up so far and that Brantley moved down that far. It's hilarious that Willy "the human high-light reel" Korn moved down so far. He's actually below Garcia now. I wonder what the taters have to say about that.

Also, Dunlap is now the top Defensive Lineman in the country regardless of the position on the line. I'm pretty surprised that Matthews didn't get his fifth though... screw that crap about his size, he's dominated against the best and nobody has been able to stop him this entire year.

Future Vol, Ben Martin picked up a fifth star too.

It looks like UGA is losing the recruiting battle for a lot of our top in-state recruits.

I agree about Matthews, he has shown that he can play with the best as being the MVP of both all star games he played in. He is still a tremendous player, I look for great things from him.

Enrique Davis was once again shafted by the rivals staff, and left at the cut-off mark at #30. Why would they have 29 stars as opposed to 30, especially when #30 is the #1 RB out of Florida, and is obviously 5-star caliber?
Not to mention Kerry Murphy getting a BOOST in the rankings. The kid did not even start on his own team, is out of shape, and is community college bound. This is just one of the many instances rivals boosts Bama players who did not deserve it. Rolando McClain deserved his boost, Murphy is a joke.

I like the way Scout and Superprep do their rankings much better than Rivals. Their team rankings take a teams needs into account in order to rank teams. If the school fills its needs, it gets a better ranking. I also see a lot less of the players' star status getting changed. How does it even get changed when they're not playing?

They base it on their performance in the All Star games.

Enrique Davis is not the #1 RB in Florida. That is Noel Devine.

Wow! For John Brantley to drop all the way down to 47 after an All-Star game, he must have dropped dead right there on the field.

Brantley didn't play much at all in the Army All-American game. Neither did Korn. Mallett upstaged everyone not named Joe McKnight and Jimmy Clausen looked terrible.

What happens is that guys like Cam Newton go out to these All-Star games, show phenominal potential, and then someone has to go down because they have to go up. I don't look at it as guys moving down. I look at it as other guys moving up.

How do those sites determine what a team needs?

Quite true, Ci. Easily the best quarterback on the field was Ryan Mallet. That kid is a monster.
